The house was exactly what I had hoped for. A place where my sisters and I could gather and enjoy meals together. It was in a good location, walking distance to groceries.

Perfect Place for a Family Vacation`

My family (5 adults) absolutely LOVED our stay at this Philadelphia home. This is an incredibly spacious place to stay. The neighborhood, Queen Village, has a great selection of places to shop, dine and explore. We walked to the Liberty Bell & Independence Hall area and also took a few Ubers to other locations we wanted to explore. We really appreciated the cleanliness, space, neighborhood, communication with host and proximity to many Philadelphia hot spots. This was a super successful family trip--one that we will remember for a long time and the accommodation was definitely a big part of that! Highly recommend this listing! Thank you!!

my opinion

The house is really beautiful, very well sittuated, nice neighborhood, , near the bus to city center and groceries stores. However it is not fit for 10 seniors : 2 had to sleep on a mattress on the floor, 1 on the couch in the living room with a bathroom either in the basement or the second floor ; the table doesn't sit more than 6 people. It shouldn't be advertised for 14 unless it is for 3 couples with children.

Owner lacks compassion

My father died this past Friday March 4, 2022, the day we were scheduled to enjoy a much needed family get away. I communicated several times with the owner Jon asking due to the circumstances that he allow us to reschedule the weekend. The owner Jon denied our requests. My father died. Jon did not allow us to reschedule and did not offer a refund. It is so disheartening how another human being can be so unkind and lack compassion. But I know how Karma works.

How was clean and very spacious. Everyone had space to stay

Great place, well kept. Parking wasn’t that bad, though you may have to park about a block away on the evenings… I will recommend this place!

It was large, for sure. It met our needs, although we think you be hard pressed to sleep more than 10 people comfortably. The house had some places that needed repairs (drawer front missing in kitchen, drain in shower didn't work). The water heater was broken when we got there, so we endured a home repair during our stay. The owner was at least willing to re-negotiate the price for the first day.

This home is roomy. We wanted 4 bedrooms for a family reunion.

Although the space met our needs, it is a bit shabby and could benefit from new linens. Rooms seemed clean.The location worked well for us. near airport. Enjoyed nearby reastaurants, Mummers museum, easy Uber ride to Center City, Art museum area. It worked well for our 3 day stay. Felt safe in neighborhood.

Delapidated, outdated

Bar stools broken, Pingpong table ready to collapse, all sofa/ottoman should be thrown, carpet dirty, bathroom ceiling peeling with leak stains, towel bar broken, blinds broken, flat pillows, towels with bleach stains, broken light bulbs; oven so dirty that I heated food in it for 5 minutes and it filled the room with smoke! Need I say more. The only redeemable feature is that it’s 4 BR and 4 baths.

Eileen - while we appreciate your feedback, and will fix items such as the ping pong table and the loose stools, the rest of your comments are extreme to say the least. Needs Improvement

When we first arrived at the home and entered the key code as instructed, we were not able to get in. After several attempts, we contacted the host numbers and no one answered. After calling a few times, the key code I’m assuming was activated by the host and we were finally able to enter The residence. When we entered the residence, there was a strong odor of cleaning products. The smell was overwhelming. The smell lingered throughout our 3 day stay but it became apparent that the smell was due to the use of an old mop, and old cleaning materials. It smelled of mold. The home is huge. The square footage provided more than ample space for my family. Some areas of the home were dusty, such as the window sills, entertainment centers, and sofas. There was a dirty rug in the living area and an ottoman that was peeling and falling apart. The washing machine was also filthy inside and I. Would not use it to clean my clothes. The bedrooms were all good sizes although one of the comforters had a recent food stain on it so I could tell that it had not been washed before our arrival. There was also a lump of hair in the sink of the master bathroom. A day before our departure, two cleaning ladies walked into the home without knocking or ringing the bell. They just barged in and asked if we were leaving, in which I told them we weren’t scheduled to leave until the next day. Overall, nice neighborhood, huge residence with lots of space but poor cleaning and poor attention given to the overall cleanliness of the home.

Tracy, thanks for your review and feedback, we take it to heart. First I'd like to say that we always go above and beyond for our guests. We checked in with you several times during your stay, and if you had indicated anything AT ALL was wrong, we would have had someone there within the hour. Regarding the keyless door code, your claim that we somehow changed the door code after your phone call is unfortunately baseless. The code can only be changed while being at the house and manually opening up the face of the lock. Also, we did not receive a single voicemail or text message from you across any of the numbers listed. Unfortunately calls from unknown numbers are not answered or returned if a voicemail is not left. I suggest doing so for future reference. Regarding the smell of cleaning supplies, we accept full responsibility for this. Unfortunately we had extremely disrespectful guests check out the morning of your arrival who thought it was okay to smoke marijuana throughout the property. Our crew spent hours doing everything we could to resolve the situation, and there must have been a build up of cleaning smell as a result. Very sorry about this... again if you had notified us we would have done everything in our power to find a solution for you. Again, thanks for the feedback. We'll make the necessary adjustments for future guests.
