If you are looking for the authentic Italian experience, Polignano a Mare is a literal embodiment; through the breathtaking Adriatic coastlines and bays, exquisite local food and a people of passion and heart of the most welcoming of natures.
Katia met us with a thorough and informative check in process and followed up with an excellent guide to the area and its many attractions. The house is framed by beautiful arched ceilings, coupled with a classical veranda and outdoor roof patio: it is everything you want in an Italian holiday home.
The centre of the town is a 2 minute walk- with it's plethora of focaccia, Sea Food and Pizzeria's- the sea 5 mins away and as is the coastal running train that can take you to the historic town of Monopoli to the south or Bari, home of Peroni's brewery, to the north.
The house itself was immaculate, with breathtaking views of the town from the roof and a special mention goes to the proprietors of Salumeria - Vini Prodotti Tipici, the store opposite the homes front door, who's range of local beers, wines and produce was ideal, but more so their delightfully warm manner of service.
My family and I will definitely be visiting again in the future- Puglia e bellissimo!
