Acadia Evergreen Retreat: Game Room. EV Charger. Sauna. Dog-Friendly

Your tradition starts here.
Acadia Evergreen Retreat is a design-forward home base in Mount Desert, created for guests who want more than just a place to sleep near Acadia. This is a place for slow mornings, active days, and evenings that bring everyone back together.

Tucked among evergreens on a peaceful acre, the home was designed around the natural rhythm of an Acadia trip: sunrise hikes, carriage road bike rides, rocky shoreline adventures, lobster dinners, and quiet nights by the fire. Inside, you’ll find a warm, modern-rustic retreat with thoughtful interiors, layered textures, nature-inspired details, and inviting spaces to gather, rest, and reset.

Whether you’re visiting as a family, a couple, or a small group, Acadia Evergreen was designed to make adventure feel easy and downtime feel meaningful.
What you’ll love:
• A peaceful Mount Desert setting that feels tucked away, yet convenient for exploring Acadia and Mount Desert Island
• A beautifully updated interior with a warm, elevated cabin aesthetic
• Two comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms
• A dedicated wellness room with infrared sauna, exercise bike, yoga mats, and weights
• A game room with pool table, shuffleboard, and arcade games for rainy days and relaxed evenings
• Outdoor spaces for morning coffee, fresh air, and unwinding after a full day of exploring
• Thoughtful details throughout that make the stay feel intentional, cozy, and memorable
• Dog-friendly (2 dogs max)
• Essentials included (hair dryer, hangers, luggage rack)
• Wine, cocktail glasses, and shaker located in the kitchen corner cabinet facing the dining area

This is the kind of place where kids come back dusty and happy after a day outside, where couples reset after busy seasons of life, and where small traditions begin to take shape. Coffee before sunrise. Blueberry pancakes after a hike. A quiet deck moment before dinner. One more game downstairs before bed. The best Acadia trips are not rushed — and this home was designed to help you settle into that rhythm.

Layout:
The home includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a comfortable living area, dining space, kitchen, downstairs game room, and separate wellness room. The design balances function and comfort, with spaces to gather as a group and spaces to step away and recharge.

Acadia Evergreen is ideal for travelers who want their trip to feel both restorative and experience-rich — a beautiful, welcoming place to return to after days filled with discovery.

If this is your first trip to Acadia, we hope it feels unforgettable. If it’s not your first, we hope it feels like the beginning of a tradition.

Air conditioning in the living room was not sufficient to cool the bedrooms. The toys and books were my 4 year olds favorite. 2nd bathroom shower was very small and in the basement. It felt like there is no air circulating in the basement. The host was easy to reach out and quick to respond.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re so glad your little one enjoyed the toys and books, and that you found us easy to reach and responsive. We’re sorry the bedroom temperatures were not as comfortable as you would have liked. The home’s air-conditioning unit is located in the main living area, and we provide fans in each bedroom to help circulate the cool air throughout the home. We weren’t contacted about any temperature or airflow concerns during your stay, but we would have been very happy to help troubleshoot or provide additional fans if we had known. We’ve also added additional information to our listing so guests know in advance that the home’s air-conditioning unit is located in the main living area as reflected in the photos, and that bedroom fans are provided for circulation. The basement naturally stays quite cool year-round, and the basement shower is the home’s secondary shower; the primary full bathroom is located on the main level. We appreciate the feedback and are always looking for ways to make the home as comfortable as possible for our guests. Thank you!

This house was perfect for our family trip to Acadia. We were traveling with two kids and there is a whole cabinet filled with toys and games which was perfect for the kids. Details like a little kids table with crayons, coloring pads, scavenger hunt activities etc really went a long way to make us feel welcome. The outdoor space was gorgeous and we made great use of the grill and fire pit. The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home and the sheets were crisp and clean. There were little sample size shampoo/conditioner bottles in the bathroom so if you are staying for more than a day or two you’ll need to bring your own. The kitchen is well stocked with a full spice rack, oil, vinegar etc. and plenty of cooking and serving equipment. There are regular backpacks, hiking backpacks, and hiking sticks available for use. We did not bring any pets but I saw pet bowls available too. Location wise, it is about a 20 minute drive to anywhere on the island. Echo Beach is pretty close.

The property was spotless and provided us with a comfortable and fun base for visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The game room was perfect for our family on the one day that our hiking was rained out and the fire pit out back was great to sit around during the cool MDI evenings. Every detail was considered and there so many thoughtful touches throughout the property. The home and the area were pet friendly. We had a great stay and would absolutely consider staying again on our next visit to the area.

Our goal was simple: to offer more than just a place to stay near Acadia National Park. We wanted a beautiful, comfortable home base where you can explore all day, then come back and unwind with ease.

This is a home our family returns to often, and that sense of ease and connection has shaped how the space feels—relaxed, welcoming, and meant to be shared.

We’re truly grateful you’re here, and we hope your time at Acadia Evergreen is the kind of trip you’ll think about long after you leave.
