This house was perfect for our family of four and our Maine retreat. The views from the backyard and “beach” area are PRICELESS. The views of Mt Desert Island are stunning. We saw otters, chipmunks, turkeys, birds, and red squirrels. We were able to get to Bar Harbor in about 20 minutes; Acadia in about 15. You can also get to restaurants in Elmore in about 15 minutes. We tried one of the lobster pounds out on the main road to Mt Desert Island and it was great. The house updates are so cute and clean. Not a complaint but just a heads up that the house doesn’t have central air but the owners did install window units in all bedrooms and the living room. Highly recommend this house and location!

We really enjoyed our stay in Trenton! The house was even better in person, great vibe, loved the artwork on the walls. We spent our visit going to Acadia, visiting small towns and got a swim in our last day. Host was great to suggest a swimming spot, Lamoine Beach, but we ended up enjoying Echo Lake Beach more for anyone else who visits in the summer! We enjoyed the firepit and water access. Super quiet area. My couple of small suggestions would be mirrors - it would be great to have a full length one in the bedroom (or even just another one to help getting ready since the one bath is small), mirror over the sink in the bigger bath (makes it hard to shave for the guys without that). And we had trouble locking the house when we left and once in for the night. Full disclosure I didn't bother to host to figure it out but we had to lock the patio door from the outside and then the front door we ended up leaving open when we left. (and basement door, unsecured). We just don't leave things open at home so that was a little hard to get used to. Overall - I'd highly recommend. Well appointed, even left flowers on the counter. Views were unmatched!
