We’re Kristel and Shannon Smith, long-time residents of Westerville, Ohio, who share a love for history, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Kristel, originally from southwestern Pennsylvania, moved to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University. She’s now a local Realtor with a passion for design and service—always looking for ways to make spaces feel both beautiful and welcoming.

Shannon is an engineer who works for a company that manufactures seats for Honda. His problem-solving mindset and attention to detail perfectly complement our shared vision of restoring and preserving homes with character.

We’ve raised our two children right here in Westerville and have loved being part of such a vibrant, historic city with a strong sense of community. From the charming Uptown district to its beautiful parks and trails, we fell in love with Westerville—and we’re so excited to share it with you!

We created Heritage Haven out of a true love for hospitality. It brings us joy to welcome guests from near and far, and to offer a space that feels warm, thoughtful, and restful. Whether you're here for a weekend or an extended stay, we hope you feel at home and leave with a little piece of what makes this place so special.

There are three major hospitals within a 15-minute drive—including Mount Carmel St. Ann’s, Riverside Methodist, and OhioHealth Westerville Medical Campus—making this a convenient and reassuring location for guests traveling for work, medical reasons or extended stays.
