While we are not likely to be onsite to welcome you or during your stay, we are easily accessible and timely in responding via the booking platform website/apps between 6am to 9pm EST. We can also be reached via text message or phone call in the event of an emergency. Our phone number will be provided prior to check in.
This property is located on Rosedale Avenue in the Lyon Park neighborhood of Durham, NC. The location is a quick 5 minute drive to Duke or downtown Durham and 15-20 minutes drive to RDU airport.
This rental is the right side (Unit B) of a duplex property. You can either park in the right side driveway or in front of the home on Rosedale Avenue.
The door uses the August Home smart lock and can be accessed by sending us your cellphone information prior to check in. Once you provide your cellphone and we add your number, you will receive a text message with additional instructions on how to download the app. Upon arrival to the front door, simply open the August Home app and press the circle to unlock the front door (the phone will sense the door lock via Bluetooth). We will also send you a unique pin pad code either as a backup or for primary use if you prefer not to download the door lock app.
In the event that technology fails, we have a backup lockbox hidden on site for emergency access.
This space is the left side of a duplex separated by a center wall and accessed via a private entrance. The entire space is yours and no interior spaces are shared.
Once inside, the property opens to a living room with a pullout couch, coffee table and smart tv where you can access your streaming services. The living room is open to the kitchen with barstool seating, newer stainless steel appliances and the essentials like pots, pans, cutlery, etc.
Down the hallway, you will find the laundry area equipped with a washing machine and dryer and a bathroom with a full sized tub/shower combo.
The two bedrooms both have closet space and comfortable queen beds and privacy blackout curtains for a restful night's sleep.
This location is walkable or bikeable to many attractions. You can check the Durham transportation website for the local bus route and other transportation options. Most guests opt to bring a car. Free parking for two cars is available onsite parked in the driveway (in tandem).
To ensure transparency and clear expectations up front, please note the following for all of our properties:
- We are pet friendly BUT all of our guests do not have pets or appreciate pet hair. Therefore, we charge an extra $50 pet cleaning fee that is passed on entirely to our cleaning crew. This ensures that they spend the extra time removing any pet hair from linens and towels, spend extra time cleaning baseboard trim, wiping fan blades, cleaning HVAC filters, etc. If you do not select "Add Pet" when booking and you stay with a pet, the $50 cleaning fee will be requested from you at checkout. Please select Add Pet in your initial booking to avoid this interaction.
- We absolutely prohibit any and all smoking and drug use at our properties. This behavior makes it extremely difficult to turnover the unit for a new guest likely arriving the same day of your departure. If we find that you have smoked in our property, there will be an extra $200 cleaning fee, you will receive a negative review, and you will not be able to book at our properties in the future. This is a non-negotiable. Do not book if you plan to smoke.
- No parties allowed or loud music after 8pm. Many of our properties are connected duplexes and out of courtesy for neighbors, we ask that there be no gatherings or loud music or unauthorized guests not listed on the reservation. If family or friends are stopping by, please kindly let us know ahead of time .
