Discover this wonderful 2-bedroom gem in Bay Shore NY. Sitting on a small micro farm, this property is very unique to the area. Wake up to the crow of roosters in the morning. Beautiful green landscapes, beautiful red barns and lots of natural beauty. 10 minutes to the Fire Island ferries, and just over an hour to New York City. A short car ride to Robert Moses, State Park, beaches and approximately two hours from Montauk Point. Lots of shared spaces, fire pit area, barbecue area, and a small walking trail. Please keep in mind there is one queen bed and a bunk bed. The top bunk is designed for somebody 125 pounds or less. This park model RV is best suited for two adults and up to three children. This year in 2026 we are encouraging and offering self guided nature learning options. We are providing books on trees and plant identification. Bird watching books and necessary supplies. Books and supplies to enjoy astronomy. A nature trail “off property” but with direct entry from our homestead. Books and hands on learning about chickens and basic homesteading.

I grew up right here on Long Island, and there’s truly no place I’d rather be during the spring, summer, and fall months. I’m an avid fisherman who enjoys both fly fishing and saltwater trips, and I’m also a licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Captain.

I’ve always had a deep appreciation for country living, which inspired me to create this one-of-a-kind micro-farm right in the heart of the suburbs. It’s a peaceful, down-to-earth escape that I’m proud to share with guests looking for something a little different.

I chose to live in Bay Shore because it offers the best of everything. The downtown area has a vibrant nightlife and a great selection of outstanding restaurants, all just minutes away.

One of my favorite things about the area is how close we are to Fire Island—it’s just a short hop across the Great South Bay, and the ferries are only 10 minutes from the property.

Having spent 15 years working in New York City, I also appreciate how easy the commute is. Whether by Long Island Rail Road or car, it’s a straightforward trip into Manhattan.

Bay Shore has a little bit of everything—beaches, restaurants, nightlife, and a convenient location that makes it easy to enjoy both city life and coastal living.

Welcome to “The Farm” — your private getaway in the heart of suburbia.
As you arrive and press the gate button, you’ll know you’ve found something rare: a micro-farm retreat tucked inside a quiet Long Island neighborhood. This place was once part of the Great Sagtikos Manor Estate, and a dairy farm for over 200 years. Today a bright red barn, a few rustic outbuildings, raised garden boxes, and a cozy greenhouse give the property its country feel.

You’ll share the space with our friendly residents: chickens, turkeys, and quail roam (safely enclosed where needed), while honey bees stay busy in the far corner of the yard. From time to time a deer will wander up from the surrounding woods to take a look — it’s a fun surprise, especially for kids.

Relax & enjoy: In the evening, settle in by the fire pit, listen to the night sounds, and unwind after a day of exploring Fire Island, the Great South Bay, or the rest of Long Island. It’s peaceful, down-to-earth, and a great spot to recharge.
