Oak & Clay Haven – Walk to Bar & Beach!

Welcome to Oak & Clay Haven—Fort Gratiot, where modern style meets Midwest soul. This thoughtfully designed home is your cozy-chic escape just minutes from the shores of Lake Huron. Every room is drenched in natural light, dressed in earthy tones, and curated to feel like a warm hug—but with better throw pillows.

Unwind in the spacious living area with mid-century flair, stream your faves on the wall-mounted TV, or gather `round the sleek dining nook for board games and takeout. The fully stocked kitchen? A vibe. Sage and slate cabinetry, black appliances, and butcher block counters come together like they were meant to be on a magazine cover.

Both bedrooms are soft, serene sanctuaries made for sleeping in and soaking up golden hour. And the bathroom? Spa-like, with plush towels rolled and ready like it’s a boutique hotel.

Perfect for couples, friend trips, or small families craving a stylish stay just minutes from the beach, parks, and downtown Port Huron. Whether you’re here for a weekend recharge or a week of Lake Huron sun, Oak & Clay Haven is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to—again and again.

It was a nice property in a quiet neighborhood. It was clean and close to many beaches and shopping areas. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful location and hospitality. Price is high because of the particular weekend. Maybe a voucher for a discount or free night in an off season time.

Lovely little cottage. Beds were very comfortable. Super clean. Nice location. Nice park across the street. Plenty of extra towels were in the dresser. Hot tub was nice and clean too. Enjoyed our stay!

The house was clean and orderly. The hot tub worked great. We had everything we needed to use the kitchen. Temperature control kept the house cool and comfortable. We were within walking distance to the lake, which was great.

The property was very clean. Location to get to surrounding towns was good. I didn't care for the property. It needs something to make it more cozy. There were no enjoyable spots to chill out. Back porch nothing to see except close neighbors. Plastics chairs to sit in. The hot tub was nice. No fire pit. Front porch the same. Plastic chairs no covered porch. Everything very plain inside. Overall not horrible just needs some more ambiance.

Great 4 night stay. The home was clean, bed extremely firm [ how I like it] and comfortable. Hot tub was ready to go- even though we did not use it- it was super clean and sanitized. Full kitchen amenities. The welcome book was a fantastic touch with sites to visit and restaurants. I will be returning. The beach - our own small slice of heaven across the street. I would say 8 minutes walk. Food tavern 2 minutes away.

Neat and clean, close to advertised, but misses the mark. In a cellular deadzone.Hotub and Kitchen lack privacy. Owner provided directions but no address. We could not access details once we got to the area, very frustrating. House is missing crucial items such as mat at door, garbage disposal, accessable outside garbage and other detailed immunities. Bar was closed when we booked but we ŵere not notified. In the future I would choose a hotel suite.

great location to the lake and park but locate in a small housing development that had no quiet time as the VRBO so hard to sleep. plus a local bar next door you could hear everything going on during all hours of the day. I think the price per day/night should reflect that unforeseen circumstances. Just my opinion. We also had family stay in the home beside us and they agree also with the above comment.

This was a 2 bedroom but there were no closets to hang our clothing up. Upon bringing this to the hosts attention they instacarted us a portable rolling clothes rack and hangers so we could hang up our clothes. They even covered the cost to have it assembled for us. This made all the difference as my husband wanted to hang up his suit brought for a formal occasion we had come to Michigan to attend. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed we used was comfortable. It would have been nice to have a screen door-or even a drop down screen for the front door as we arrived quite late at night due to airlines flight delay. It was after dark when we arrived and when we got in the front door a swarm of insects followed us in. My husband spent a good 15-20 minutes swatting them all off the walls and ceilings with a dishtowel before we went to bed as I was afraid they'd bite/sting me. When we brought it to the host's attention they offered to send someone out to spray but since I am chemically sensitive we declined and made it a point to arrive back at the cottage before dark from then on, not put the kitchen light on until we were inside with the door closed. That took care of the light-seeking insects following us in.The place was cute. The couches and chairs were comfortable and the refrigerator was large enough to accommodate our groceries. Everything was clean inside. My husband enjoyed the hot tub. It was clean and the water was fresh.
