The house was much nicer than what we expected, and the picture didn't do it justice. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking full meals, though we mainly warmed prepared food in the microwave, and made coffee and tea.
A house in the city near downtown has its advantages over one on Longboat Key: less expensive and closer to restaurants, museums, botanical gardens--and Rts 41 and I-75. We did finally go to Maison Blanche on Longboat Key, which is superb but expensive (and worth the money), but you get better value downtown than on St. Armand's Circle.
And we'll be back to Sarasota next year, maybe in this house!
