Buena Vista Cozy Bedroom with Shared Bath
Welcome! We offer a peaceful and freshly decorated space perfect for anyone looking to recharge or work remotely. The home has a calm, grounded energy, and we value open communication and respectful use of the shared areas.
Your private room is in a three-bedroom home located in Buena Vista, a peaceful neighborhood just minutes from Wynwood, Midtown, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. It’s also just a 15-minute drive to Downtown and the MIA Airport.
While we love the quiet nature of our street, it’s a residential neighborhood, not a bustling commercial one. It might seem a little rough at first, but our neighbors are approachable and friendly.
Our home is shared with a very chill, long-term tenant who we've known for years. The other bedrooms are listed for short-term rental. You have access to the shared patio, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry area.
Wi-Fi & Parking: We provide free Wi-Fi and you'll have free on-street parking right in front of the house. The driveway is reserved by an air conditioning company, so you may see their vans and crew in the morning or evening, but they are very respectful and won't be in your way.
AC Temperature: The air conditioning is set to a comfortable 73°F (23°C) and cannot be adjusted. We've found this is a temperature that our system can maintain consistently and is a good compromise for most guests.
Important Things to Note
- This is a shared home, not a hotel. We do our best to provide a comfortable stay, but like any residential home, occasional disruptions can occur (e.g., a neighbor's baby crying, a lizard entering the home, or a street cat looking for food). We appreciate your understanding if something unexpected happens.
- Off-Limits Areas: Please do not enter the other bedrooms, parking spaces occupied by the vans, the garage, or the backyard.
- Maintenance: Our housekeeper and maintenance crew have the right to enter the unit with 24-hour notice for any necessary repairs.
- Help is available: We travel a lot, so you may not see us in person. However, we have a great support team ready to help if you need anything. Just message us through the platform.
- We ask that all guests please read the full listing before requesting to book.
If this sounds like the right fit for your trip, we would love to host you!
We know life gets hectic and it’s possible to miss a rule here or there.
We also want to share these rules to provide a more comfortable shared living space, prevent any confusion or frustration between guests and to protect the condition of the house. 🙂
- Communicate, communicate, communicate – make sure to communicate any problems to prevent them from growing into significant problems. We’ll try our best to get to any issues asap.
- Quiet hours are between 10pm to 8am
- Please do not try to adjust the thermostat. We’ve previously had guests set it to their liking but everyone has different preferences and the AC sometimes freezes. It’s currently at 72°F
- PLEASE, keep track of your food and dispose of it all in the green bins in the yard at the end of your trip. This prevents the cleaners from accidentally throwing out a guest's food in shared spaces.
- Make sure the door is completely shut and the fence is locked even when you’re at home and above all, especially at night.
- Smoking/vaping is not allowed in-doors. Please smoke outside.
- Please turn the lights off if you aren't using a space and see that no one else is either.
- No outside or overnight guests! We will report anyone that's not a listed traveler. A $300 party file will be charged if there are more guests than listed on the reservation.
- To prevent pests from invading the space and to be considerate of other guests, please…
- Do not leave any food or food crumbs behind whether on the table, in the sink, etc
- Wipe down dishes, pans, table, counter etc promptly after preparing food
- Clean the microwave if it gets dirty
- Take out the trash daily if you can. The longer trash sits out, the more it attracts pests.
- For longer term stays, the city picks up garbage on Monday & Thursday. Recycle pickup is Thursday, the 1st & 3rd of the month. If you do not see the full trash container out near the curb, please take the container out.
For organizational purposes…
- Please use the spaces in the fridge with your bedroom number
- If there’s an empty space elsewhere and you need it temporarily, please ask.
- All the items on the property are for the common use please keep all of them in good condition and available for other guests
- Please keep the shared living space as it was at the start of your stay. No adding onto it with longer term personal items or usage. Preferred usage examples–watching tv, reading a book, playing a game for a couple of hours.
- Be mindful of the time used in the kitchen, bathroom, and with the washer/dryer. Communicate ahead of time if you’ll be needing a space for longer than expected (i.e. bathroom for over 30 minutes) or if you need a space at a specific time.
We hope these rules will make living with others smoother. Let’s see how they work and of course, let us know if they can be improved. 🙏
Thank you!
