Heron House on The Sea Ranch along the Mendonoma Coast is a refuge for families, birdwatchers, art lovers, golfers or anyone who just wants a get away. Previously exclusively listed on the OTHER platform with years of solid 5-star reviews, this three bedroom home (2 king, one sofabed) is now back on Vrbo. Enjoy ocean views while cooking up meals in the sun filled kitchen. Park your spotting scope in the living room to check out the birds and seals on Gualala Point Island. Hike miles of trails and soothe yourself in the hot tub or take a short drive to the Del Mar Community Center to enjoy the pool, sauna and lovely gardens. Bring your golf clubs and walk to the 18-hole Sea Ranch Links, designed by Robert Muir Graves. Cuddle up with a warm beverage on the deck at night to enjoy star filled skies. Perfect getaway

We *loved* The Heron House. The cedar hot tub, enclosed area for dogs to safely run around, comfy beds, well-stocked and modern kitchen stood out. I've stayed a few times in Sea Ranch and this was my fave location as it's close to Gualala for food options, and it's an easy walk to the beach in Gualala Point Regional Park. The beds were comfy, and the bathrooms clean & spacious. The owner is very generous with towels for people & dogs, and has a very helpful guidebook to the home & surrounding areas.

Another get-away at Heron House!

We love this property! This was our third stay at Heron House in SeaRanch. We love this property for the cleanliness, the great bathrooms and fabulous kitchen, the fantastic view and the wonderful outdoor space for our 4-legged companion! We are close to the marvelous trails on the Pacific Bluffs. We couldn't be happier staying here; we would definitely always recomend this vrbo!

Amazing

We have stayed in a lot of C Ranch properties, and this one is by far the best. The house is sunny and bright, clean, and completely renovated. It has two large bedrooms with comfortable beds, and en suite bathrooms, and decks off both rooms. The house is steps away from the Bluff Trail and Gualala Point Regional park, so you can start your hike just by walking out the front door. The hot tub is a natural Cedarwood tub with easy to use controls right off the master bedroom, overlooking a gorgeous garden. By far the most amazing feature, however, is the kitchen. It has everything you would want in a vacation home and more: a blender, a waffle maker, a popcorn maker, and probably many more kitchen tools we did not discover. Deldi was in constant communication and answered all of our questions. The house comes with all of the instructions you could ever want, and the owners have taken great care in ensuring that guests have a good experience. We would definitely stay again!

Great house, Good location

The home is located in the furthest point north, within Sea Ranch. It's near walking trails and out of the way from a busy street, but near the golf course. The house itself is immaculate, with top of the line appliances, plates, coffee maker and BBQ. From the kitchen, there are views of the ocean. The communication with the owner was flawless. I have rented a lot of homes thru agencies in the past. It's impossible to beat that communication, but VRBO does have advantages too and the owners is quick to respond via email. I've recently read some reviews about some of the nearby homes that complained about ants or cleanliness and this home has zero issues.

Great Vacation!!!

First time visit for our family and had great experience. Location has excellent access to the ocean, trails and the golf course. Great view from the balcony of the waves crashing into the rocks. The hot tube came in handy after a long morning run and to have a relaxing evening. Pet friendly as the yard is fenced in and she also enjoyed watching the wildlife from the 2nd floor. Our family will return!!!

Great location, immaculate, and well equipped

We really enjoyed our stay at TSR at Deldi’s beautiful home. The location was perfect and the surroundings were quiet and tranquil. Kids loved the area beaches and were enchanted by the deer and jackrabbits wandering so close to the house. Oven wasn’t working during our stay, but the outdoor gas grill was a more than suitable substitute. Ended up discovering that the higher temp of the outdoor grill made for even better homemade pizza than the oven would have made. Already trying to figure out when we can come back!

Our Return Stay at the Heron House

The Heron House is absolutely fabulous. My wife and I have been spending short vacations at Sea Ranch for several years and thoroughly enjoying our time up there. Of the three homes in which we have previously alternated our stay, the Heron House has now become our favorite. The house is located in a cul-de-sac next to the golf course providing both privacy and a spectacular view of the ocean with close coastal access. The reverse floor planning is exceptional including high end kitchen amenities, an island that is the size of a small football field an outside deck all framed with a picture view of the ocean. The downstairs provides privacy and a view of the outside garden. The work that has been done to upgrade the two spacious bedrooms, and bathrooms is beautiful. The house was immaculate and we appreciated all the various personal amenities/touches that were available. Everything was truly exceptional.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We could not have enjoyed our weekend stay at the Heron house any more. The property was in a stunning location close to coastal walking trails. The house itself was modern, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Lots of fun touches throughout the house made it feel like we were at a 5 star hotel. Thank you Deldi for being such a great host. We cannot wait for our next stay at the Heron house!

Gorgeous, well-appointed rental home

This rental home is now one of my favorites in Sea Ranch. The house was immaculate and well-appointed; the beds and linens were comfortable, and it was nice to cook in the kitchen. We found the space to be warm and inviting and there was plenty of room for us to spread out and enjoy the space. I loved that the closets and bathrooms had empty drawers and space for us to unpack so that we didn't have to live out of our suitcase for our stay. The bathrobes were a lovely touch. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay this home and will certainly want to stay here again. Deldi was communicative and responsive and we appreciate her hospitality. Thank you for making your home available for others to rent, Deldi! Sea Ranch is a special place for us and now so is Deldi's home.

We’ve been renting homes in Sea Ranch for over 25 years and this rental experience was the best.

The online reservation was straight forward and easy. The check-in & check-out process was like clockwork. Deldi is wonderful host, and very responsive. Accommodations are first class. Our vacation was everything we hoped it would be.

5 Star Absolutely Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay at Heron House. The home was incredibly clean, thoughtful touches throughout (with a bottle of white wine and the Nespresso machine). It is like a 5 star hotel. The location couldn't have been better for walks to the beach and along the cliffs. Really close to Gualala too. We will defiantly stay at Heron House for our next Sea Ranch stay. Thank you Deldi, for being so helpful and accomodating. We loved your beautiful home.

We found our stay at Heron House to be just the perfect fit. This is the 6th home we’ve rented at Sea Ranch. Upon arrival the home was impeccably clean with clear instructions on the operational aspects allowing us to be settled in within 15 minutes. There was no fumbling around attempting to locate the thermostat, remote controls, etc. Throughout every room we found the comforts of home yet with the amenities one might find during a longer stay at a fine hotel (clean bathrobes, bottle of wine, coffee maker). We appreciated the short drive to Gualala for dining and grocery shopping. The trail entrance was right out the front door where we enjoyed walks with our beloved family dog. While some of the homes we’ve rented were closer to the ocean this home with a slighter distant view will capture your heart. We found Heron House was the most comfortable and thoughtfully well stocked home we have rented. Deldi was unbelievably gracious and always available to assist us as our trip progressed. She made the whole experience over the top. We are already looking at our calendar to return for a longer stay. Thank you Deldi for sharing your beautiful Sea Ranch escape with us and our four legged family member.

Beautiful and comfortable home in an amazing location!

Deldi's house was lovely! It was very well equipped and very comfortable. We so enjoyed hanging out at the house, and using the hot tub (you can see amazing starts from the hot tub at night!). The location is perfect with beautiful views from inside the house and a quick walk to the coast for good walks/hikes. I would be thrilled to stay there again!

Fabulous!!

This was my second visit to Heron House and I can’t wait to return for #3! The house is beautiful and cozy - a wonderful place to spend a relaxing time with friends and family. The layout makes it easy to hang out as a group (in the open great room) or get in some private time on one of the many decks and other outdoor spaces. And the place has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! We baked a birthday cake and brought all the ingredients but forgot our baking tools - Deldi had mixers and a bundt pan to help us get the job done! And Deldi is super responsive - so if there’s anything you can’t figure out or find at the house she’s able to provide guidance in minutes-much better than any property management company I’ve ever dealt with! And for those who need to stay plugged in - the WiFi and satellite TV work great; we caught the first NBA finals game there. Oh, one other treasure we discovered this visit was the glorious pool at the Del Mar rec center, which you get free access to with your stay. It’s a beautiful spot not to be missed!

WOW !! Thumbs Up !!

WOW! Spectacular house and setting combined with very thoughtful, responsive customer service from Deldi (the owner) make this vacation rental an absolute gem! We’ve already booked it again for this summer! Our 3 days at Heron House provided a wonderful respite from our busy, urban life. The house is on a quiet dead end street with its own private fenced back yard, which was ideal for our dog and afforded us a very peaceful weekend. Incredible views abound from every room, with so many windows strategically placed that we felt like we were outdoors most of the weekend even though we hardly left the house! The four decks overlooking the meadow and ocean out front and the sweet garden on the back side of the house offer a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. Birds, deer, jack rabbits and tree frogs visited us in the meadow each day. The kitchen was a joy to cook in; spacious and fully stocked with high end tools. The open floor plan upstairs with soaring ceilings and skylights feels and is spacious and light. The furniture and bedding throughout the house are high quality and super cozy. We also enjoyed the hot tub, which has great views of the yard and surrounding nature. And if you decide to venture out, access to the Coast Trail is literally right across the street.
