Karl, thank you for your five star review! It is great that our property worked out well for you guys. Firepit ban in vacation rentals is a wine country ordinance. Nothing we can do about it. We have that detailed in the description of the property AND in our standard contract. Five cars is the maximum overnight parking allowed in any wine country vacation rental (Sonoma or Napa). We have the maximum allowed parking in the wine country overnight. Thanks!

Thanks Michael. I am glad to hear that you would want to come back and that you had a good time. Also I am very happy to hear that you liked the house and the yard in particular. You brought up several issues and I will address them one by one here. I am severely allergic to pets myself and I can assure you that it is impossible to have cat dander in the house. All the furniture is brand-new and all throughout our ad, we specifically mention that "no pets are allowed in the house because the owner is allergic". So, I don't believe any tenants brought any pets without my knowledge. Regarding the driveway, we have two driveways leading into the house. It is an exception because most houses have one single driveway. I am not sure why you mention it in your review but with one of the driveways open, you should have been able to access the house very easily. The neighbors were working on fixing their driveway, first time in years, and hence the 24 hour closure of one of the driveways. Again, this should not have impacted you at all. Regarding the AC, it is a brand new system. Turns out some fluid was too low and needed to be replenished. And we got it fixed the next day with emergency HVAC service after you mentioned it. And finally about the ants. We've never had infestation even in the rainiest of seasons. There are occasional ants all around Sonoma County because it is countryside after all. -bora

Hi Melanie, thank you for your kind words and five star review. The pool most days in September and October is in mid to high 70s. And it can be heated to an even higher temperature (if used solar heat for no extra fee, if manually for $100). This is all described in the description of the house. Regarding the septic system, ALL of the homes in Sonoma are on septic system. It is the country. Because our home is brand new, it is probably the most robust possible septic system possible. It has a new tank, new bathrooms, new plumbing, new pipes. It is no different than a regular urban system. The only difference is one shouldn't use too much toilet paper in any septic system. Again, this is described in the listing of the house. Regarding the beds, you surprised me there. All bedrooms have, top of the line, brand new mattresses. We personally use this home regularly and we picked the best mattresses for my family. I know for instance we spent about $4K on the mattress in the master bedroom. Dear Tracie, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a detailed review. And we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are confused by your comments and would like to clarify a few issues: - The entire wine country in Napa and Sonoma is on a septic system. No exceptions! We are lucky because this specific home was fully renovated recently. The entire plumbing system is new. As a result, the plumbing system is a lot more resilient than most other vacation rentals available in the market. Only constraint is that the system works best with human waste and toilet paper (as would be the case with a traditional urban plumbing system). This should be expected and should not be a major inconvenience. - The room by the garage is a fairly large, ensuite room. The elliptical perhaps occupies 5% of the surface area of that room and is LOVED by the guests. Guests love the convenience of being able to work out and after jump in the pool (only a few steps away). Also there are side tables by the bed. We are again confused by your comment. - There is a brand new 70 inch smart TV in the living room, brand new smart TV in the primary room, brand new TV in the 5th bedroom by the house and another fairly new TV in the room by the garage. There are four TVs that are connected to streaming services. ALL TVs either come with an Apple TV and/or built-in streaming services. Again, we don't understand your comment here. To use amazon prime, or Hulu or Netflix, all you need to do is to type in your username and pw. Were you expecting us to give you our user credentials?
