Absolutely amazing stay! The house is a classic New Englander cape house, with plenty of room for the 11 of us that stayed there (the two kitchens, two TVs, and lots of outside seating was room enough to stay together or take breaks apart). It's hard to beat the ocean views, but the best part was really the location. You can leave the car behind and walk to within minutes: the beach, Holiday Cycles (to rent bikes and ride to Woods Hole), the Island Queen (to ferry to Martha's Vineyard), Church (St. Thomas Chapel), Black Dog Cafe (for morning coffee, if you don't want to make it yourself upstairs or downstairs in the house), restaurants like Shipwrecked or The Wharf (if you don't want to cook or grill for yourself). Everyone should be able to manage stairs (lots of steps and stairs in the house, which was built in 1912) if you want to get the most out of it (my 84yr old mom is spry but we were nervous when she went up and down to the 2nd floor porch). The beds were comfortable, the internet was flawless, and the hot water worked with everyone constantly showering (the outdoor shower was perfect for beach cleaning). The homeowner was so easy and pleasant to work with. Everyone in the family gave it 5 stars - one of the best family vacation rental yet!
