Oceanfront Villa with Commanding Views of Elizabeth Harbour

Vista Del Mar, Exuma, 2-1/2 miles north of Georgetown, overlooks the mouth of Elizabeth Harbour and is within walking distance to Jolly Hall Beach (under 1 Mile, .7 Mile), groceries & beverages.
The main house contains two of the five bedrooms, two baths, a great room with 26 ft vaulted ceiling, a kitchen and a formal indoor dining room. The great room is complimented by the stacked stone fireplace with dimplex insert for ambience, 54” Samsung Smart TV and Bose Bluetooth Sound Dock Stereo System. The kitchen is complete with updated appliances including a 48” Thor commercial stove. Your chef will be pleased. (Chef services also available for extra charge)
The 78 ft. east facing veranda overlooks the infinity pool, hot tub & ocean. It is a superb outdoor area for large parties or dining.
A west facing outdoor covered dining area, with BBQ, overlooks Hoopers Bay (.7 mile) in the distance and provides for more sheltered dining.
The 526 sq. ft. master bedroom, with 5 piece ensuite bathroom and spectacular views of Elizabeth Harbour is separated from the main house by a covered breezeway, allowing for more privacy.
The entire house is air conditioned, but usually the ocean breezes are sufficient.
There are two poolside bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and fabulous views.
The 2000 sq. ft. deck, pool & hot tub area allow you to fully enjoy the outdoors and view any time day or night.
Outdoor seating is available for 12, lounges for 8 people.
Vista Del Mar Exuma is suitable for family reunions, weddings, large gatherings or a romantic getaway for two. Situated between the international airport and Georgetown, adventures are available at your doorstep.

Great property

Wonderful property overall but a few deferred maintenance items. Everything worked so not the end of the world, but the grill is in dire need of repair and has almost rusted through. The pool was too cold for a January visit. For the price, I would have expected a pool heater. Beautiful views and a great dock. Watch the dishes as most had to be rewashed as did utensils, glassware etc due to food chunks on them. We were offered concierge groceries but after emailing the groundskeeper within the week's deadline we did not have the groceries requested ... not a big deal but would have preferred to know this request could not be accommodated prior to arrival. Again, a great property but I expect these small issues to not exist based on the price of the property.

Can’t beat the view !

The property is amazing. The pool, the dock, the location … you really can’t ask for more ! Jonas the property manager is THE nicest man - super helpful and very responsive. The house was perfect for our stay - 2 bedrooms/baths in upper main part of house, master suite is separate and the lower bedrooms/bathrooms worked out great for our party. The lower rooms are not connected by stairs, you walk outside - just FYI. The pool is great, the hot tub was perfect. If you have a large group of couples and/or family, this house really is ideal.

House is the star

Easily one of the nicest properties in Exuma. Views are exceptional and the layout is ideal for multiples couples. Family could not have been more pleased. House does have minor deferred maintenance (roof leaked under very hard rains, but nothing distracted from our stay). Will definitely be on our short list to rent again.

Paradise

We stayed at Vista Del Mar the week of July 4th. The house location is wonderful. We have been coming to the Exumas for 10 years and this by far is located the best! The house is near everything we could need. The view of Elizabeth Harbour every day is stunning. Jonas, the caretaker, was helpful if we needed any assistance. Hope to come back and rent again!!

Great Vacation

Really enjoyed our stay. Check in/out was seamless the property was well maintained and the owner and property manager where prompt in their communication with us. Overall we really enjoyed out vacation would definitely recommend this to folks that are considering it. One minor issue was the hot tub, for whatever reason it was not ever hot. Not a problem in the summer but in spring it would have been nice to be able to use it in the evenings and watch the sunset.

No hot water in the bathrooms for the first few nights, but Jonas took care of that finally. Hot tub was not hot in the afternoons. Otherwise everything was excellent. Jonas was very helpful, responsive and respectful to all of our group of five couples. Great trip to Exuma. House is in a wonderful location with an excellent dock.

Our family rented this property for my 50th birthday celebration. The property is as advertised. Great Exuma is the most beautiful place. Every adventure we had was unique and spectacular in a new way. Every evening we enjoyed the pool, veranda and dock. Wonderful memories for the family and friends. Thanks.

Great Stay, Great House and Location

Home was exactly like the pictures, very clean and well appointed. Outdoor areas and dock were great. We enjoyed getting a boat each day at Minns and then picking up the family off the dock each day. Highly recommend this property. Location is also great, only 10-15 minutes from airport and shopping is close by. Would stay here again for sure.

Excellent stay!

This was our first time to Exuma. The house was wonderful with an amazing view! All of the amenities were provided. It was so nice to have floats, kayaks, paddle boards, games, and all kitchen supplies. The dock was amazing and we enjoyed floating under it to escape the sun at times. Jonas was very quick to respond with questions. The owner was also very quick to respond. We rented a boat for two days and it was great being able to load and unload at the dock. We will definitely be back! The most beautiful water we have ever seen!

Breathtaking Views

This villa is gorgeous. You will have an adventure to remember. Jonas is a great caretaker and available to help with whatever is needed. The adults and kids loved the pool, new dock, and water toys. Convenient to Hooper's Bay beach and Jolly Hall beach. Short drive from the airport. We wished we could stay longer!

Beautiful View and Great Location

Vista Del Mar is a beautiful property with stunning views. It’s in a great central location on the island. We arrived earlier than check-in time but were allowed in the house, and that was greatly appreciated. The interior of the house was very clean and decorated nicely. We did have some issues with the house, however. There were several leaks in the main house and one of the rooms downstairs has a door that does not close all the way to the floor. My son had to put towels and a bag down so the bugs did not come into the room. The pool was not serviced until three days after our arrival and tadpoles were swimming in the jacuzzi. Just be mindful that the two bottom floor bedrooms are not connected to the main house from the inside. You have to walk outside and down the side to access them. Jonas, the caretaker, was a very sweet man but told us he would do things and did not come through on his end. One example is bringing water. He told us he would bring some on the first day, and he did not until our final day. We reminded him on our third day, but the water was brought on day 5. He did not respond to my questions through text messages, but did pick up the phone when called. One amenity our children were looking forward to was the ping pong table, but the net was broken. For the price of the house, we were a bit disappointed. The kayaks were smelly and full of little critters. Didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a while.

Beautiful home, great location, Fab views!

We stayed at Vista Del Mar for our first trip to the Bahamas and it was wonderful! This home is spacious with soaring ceilings that add to the overall character of a home that is not cookie cutter vacation rental. A different layout, in a good way, with the master bedroom and two other bedrooms separated outside the main house. But the huge outdoor terrace was our favorite part! Overlooking a fantastic pool with an infinity edge looking over the incredible turquoise water in the bay!! Spectacular! We hired a chef for a night, coordinated by Jonas, and we enjoyed it. Make sure to double check the exact costs before you agree. Had some disprepency there but it wasnt Jonas's fault. Just a fantastic vacation and we would love to come back! Denise was extra quick to answer questions before and during our stay. We also appreciated the extras they have for guests...floats, kayaks, snorkeling gear, small cooler.. Very convenient!!

Vista Del Mar, Million Dollar Views!

Vista Del Mar is a really nice property, it’s located between Georgetown and Sandals Resort. Which makes it easy to go play golf at Sandals or go buy whatever groceries you may need from downtown Georgetown. We really enjoyed our trip, but did have a couple issues. One is that two of the bedrooms and laundry are downstairs and can only be reached from the outside of main house. The downstairs rooms are located right by the pool, which was dangerous for our small kid. It’s also a long walk from the lower rooms and laundry to get to the main house, especially when carrying a load of laundry. Second, the jacuzzi wasn’t operating the first three days when we arrived, and it was filthy. After being repaired, the jacuzzi tub still didn’t make bubbles or circulate the water, this was a disappointment. Third, the wifi was poor at best, the service would go in and out with low signal flashing, need new updated router. We had a lot of rain during the two weeks we rented this property and there were several leaks coming from the roof. Two leaks in the detached master bedroom, leak in the main bedroom and two leaks in the dining room. Other issues we had were dishwasher, broken pipe to the washing machine, and a couple bugs we saw in the detached master bedroom shower area. We notified the property manager and Jonás of all issues so they could repair. Thanks Jonás for your help in making our vacation a success!

Living in Paradise

Vista Del Mar exceeded our expectations! We drove up and were immediately met with a view that can only be summed up as BREATHTAKING. The water was amazing and was a different color every time you looked at it. The house was perfect and provided all the amenities we needed, along with plenty of space for us to separate into private areas. We enjoyed snorkeling from the shore! We saw turtles, a huge ray, fish, conchs, and the kids loved diving for sand dollars. Jonas had our fridge stocked with all the groceries and drinks that we requested, and was quick to respond to our needs. We will definitely return! Thank you for an amazing vacation! The kids kept saying we are "living rich!" Vista Del Mar will not disappoint!

Excellent location and beautiful home!

Our family of 8 just spent a week at Vista Del Mar. The house was Beautiful and had everything we needed. This was our first time to Exuma and the location of the home is perfect to explore all of the island. The owners were great and Jonas met us at the airport to escort us to the house. I highly recommend this house. We will be back!

Just Beautiful!

The property & views were amazing! We have traveled many places but never has the water been so many shades of blue. We saw 3 sea turtles & stingrays right off the dock, a big shark even swam right under my feet. Can check that off the bucket list! All the beaches were near and pristine! Exuma Watersports trip was awesome! Jonas recommended Shirleys & Chat and Chill. I would skip Chat & Chill, we got there at 11AM when they were due to be open, they didn't open until noon & garbage was everywhere, they were understaffed & rude, we ended up leaving. The stingrays were fun to watch though! Shirleys shrimp po boy is a must! Highly recommend this property, just a few minor things that could be corrected. Jonas did not meet us at the airport as we were told & since I had no contact info for him prior to arriving it was a bit hectic, we had asked around for him for 20 min while we rented our cars, he did call us when we were in route to the house. I would recommend giving his number to your future guests before they arrive. The ping pong table that I inquired about before I booked did not have any balls. I went to the resort Hideaways & was able to buy some from them. Jonas did find some at a store & dropped them off 2 days later. The fridge was leaking water so we had to put down a towel to soak it up. Lastly there were no directions for the master bedroom TV, out of 7 adults not one of us could figure it out. We did have an amazing time, thank you! :)

Paul and Denise are Canadian business owners with a flare for travel.
We are adventurous and willing to adopt new challenges, thereby challenged by the renovation and pool construction on this property. Having enjoyed Mexico, Hawaii, Italy, Greece, Scotland and England, we were ready to have a home away from home, somewhere warm and not too far away from home. Georgetown, Exuma, with an easy 3 hour flight direct from Toronto was our deciding factor.
As we enjoy people, we also enjoy entertaining & we invite you to experience the Villa and all it has to offer.

We first traveled with friends to The Bahamas in January of 2015 and instantly fell in love with Exuma. The tranquility of the area with the small-town atmosphere and friendly people inspired us to investigate properties. We preferred the breezy Atlantic side versus the leeward/backside of the island where it is much hotter. We were enchanted by the steady stream of boats of all sizes passing in the near distance into and out of Elizabeth Harbour, a safe harbour for an estimated 500 boats. This provides a tranquil entertainment.
Paul, being a student of architecture, really appreciated the Spanish flair to the structure of Vista Del Mar. The arches reminded him of the Roman aqua-duct enticing us further. Paul's knowledge of structures helped to determine that the building was sound and well-constructed, thereby being a good basis for our investment. The attention to detail surrounding the column placements allows for unobstructed views of the water even from the furthermost interior rooms of the house. The elevation of the property ensures that the building will not see extensive water damage from ocean tides and swells. As well the building itself is additionally secured with double-ring hurricane beams, making the Villa able to withstand hurricane force winds.

The Villa has an unique elevated view that is breathtaking. With a private infinity pool and hot tub there is no need to go too far to enjoy the heat of the day. Likewise there is always a cool, shaded or breezy spot, or a hot, sunny sheltered area somewhere on the premises, dependent upon the ever changing wind patterns.
The Master bedroom private wing is also unique in that the Master is remote from the activities of the household.
We had the vision to entertain many people, yet at the Villa all are able to find a quiet corner to themselves.
