Breathtaking views

This house was absolutely incredible! The wrap around porch gave us stunning views of the desert and mountains in the distance. The house is very unique and charming. The kids loved the spiral staircase the 2nd floor. The layout is a little different with the kitchen and master on the 2nd floor, but it worked for us. The house was stocked with every amenity. It was very clean and comfortable. The house is close to Cave Creek Outfitters for a great horseback ride with the friendliest staff ever! We hiked in the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Be sure to stop at the visitors center to see local animals in cages;). We would love to go back on a future vacation. Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

Peaceful and Idyllic

We loved the home. Views were fantastic. Heidi was very responsive when we had an issue with a finicky dishwasher. The home was very well stocked with kitchen tools, appliances, spices, and other basics that you might not want to purchase for a short stay. We were very appreciative of that. Our only complaints...and there were few and this is INCREDIBLY nitpicky, but we weren't huge fans of the spiral staircase...OUR KIDS LOVED IT! Haha. Also, we would have preferred if there were a tv on the second floor living area. There wasn't anywhere to sit together with our two children at the end of the day and watch a family show. Thank you to Heidi for her five star service and sharing her beautiful home!

Perfect Place to Keep Family Close By

This was a 5 minute drive from our home and allowed us to have lots of family here for a milestone birthday. Host was attentive and easy to contact. Home was exactly as described. Easy checkin/checkout. Will definitely book again when we have more family than room at our home! Thank you!

Beautiful home to watch the sun rise and set

Gorgeous home with every need thought of. The master bed was so comfortable. Beautiful views from all angles. We loved sitting outside and just relaxing.

Family get away

The views from the wrap around deck are outstanding. The owners of this property must be chefs because property’s kitchen is well equipped. Great rental and great hosts.

Close enough to Heaven

I have no idea where to start. My husband and I have been to AZ a handful of times but this was the best place we have ever stayed. It is far away enough to have that secluded, quiet, peaceful getaway but not far from great trails, scenery, necessities, and the like. Communication with Heidi was wonderful from the start. She is so kind and we cannot thank her and Tim enough for opening their wonderful home. The house is exactly like the photos but they truly do not do it justice. Heidi and Tim have thought of EVERYTHING you could need to use while enjoying your stay. Their claw foot tub is to die for, the view at night with the stars shining above was so relaxing. The bed you could lie in for days if you wanted! We cannot wait to go back, for those views and that peace!!

Life in the Tonto

Very clean and comfortable home with awesome views very close to trails and hiking in a great National Forest. The home is 20 min from necessities so a car is essential. Or some other form of transportation But, that’s what is so awesome about this home. I highly recommend this property !

Amazing place/Incedible viewS!

Splendid golf weekend

The property is perfect for a family to who likes hiking and the outdoors or a group of guys that enjoy golf and the outdoors. The views of 4 peaks and sunrise are exceptional. We plan on renting again.

beautiful hidden part of the valley

Unique property with master and kitchen upstairs with 3/4 wrap around deck which takes advantage of great views of the surrounding mountains. Great decor and high quality kitchen. Dirt road to access may be bumpy for small cars but still accessible. Close to the Verde river and Bartlett Dam.

We Couldn't Be Happier

If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful place to recharge, this is the perfect place. Besides the awesome views, the home is decorated for comfort and relaxation. My wife and I could not have picked a better place to spend our weekend. This property is a winner!!!!

Beautiful quiet retreat.

The home was exceptional and beautifully decorated. Did not feel like your average rental. All high end furnishings. The beds were very comfortable. The 3 sided deck was amazing to watch both sunrise and sunset. Heidi was available for any questions we had. I enjoyed our conversations very much. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful

This property totally exceeded our expectations. The furnishings, decor, appointments and amenities throughout and especially in the kitchen were spectacular. Did I mention the panoramic views of the desert, foot hills and McDowel mountain range both from inside the home and out side on the inviting covered decks on both levels. All was areas were immaculately clean. We were there during the virus pandemic. No dining out. I enjoy grilling so the very nice grill provided us with excellent evening meals. Also the abundant reading material was a plus. We enjoy hiking and the nearest trail head was only 3-4 miles away. We also enjoyed walking the washes adjacent to the property. Our first stay here but hopefully not our last. Thanks Tim and Heidi Don H

AZ Trip 2020

We were thrilled with our stay at this property. We were in town on vacation for the Barrett-Jackson car auction, but also wanted to see the surrounding area. This location was perfect as we were able to take in Old Town Scottsdale, Sonoma, and come home to a breath taking views. With perfect weather we enjoyed sunsets and full moons that were picture perfect. The property provided everything we needed and more. The owners included a book containing numerous area activities, restaurants, and history. We would not hestitate to stay here again if back in this area.

Picturesque Holiday Retreat!

Gorgeous views and beautifully decorated. Comfy beds and plenty of room for family fun! Love the porch swings and the large dining table on the deck upstairs. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing beautiful place!

We wanted a getaway that was out of the way yet fairly close to golfing, hiking, and amenities. The Hideaway was simply perfect! Gorgeous, fully-stocked, impeccably decorated home with amazing views! The main floor is really the upper-floor..master bedroom, bathroom (with a fantastic claw-foot tub), living room, kitchen and laundry room. The wraparound deck is accessible from the living room and the master bedroom. The downstairs has a master bedroom and guest room, powder room and full-shower bathroom. Getting there: make sure you follow Heidi's instructions since Apple or Google map will put you on the wrong road to the wrong address! Best to find it during the daytime and then it's easy after that. Heidi made checking in effortless, and personally and perfectly decorated the house. It was hard to leave this home to go do stuff, honestly, since just reading my book and enjoying the views was very satisfying to me! This is a haven and I hope we get to enjoy it the next time we visit Rio Verde! Thank you, Heidi!
