Special place

Our family enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing time! A great location with beautiful views from the home and porches. The home was lovely and comfortable - everything you could need has been thought of and is available. We hope to return to this special place!

Meet point for wedding

We used the house as our home base. It was roomy enough to welcome and entertain our family and friends that had traveled to the area for my son’s wedding. It was the ideal place to meet before and after pictures, as everyone was arriving before rehearsal dinner, and a stopping point before heading to the airport after the event.

Fabulous beach house

My husband, our toddler, baby, and dog thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home with gorgeous beach views. The beach is a very short walk and the area is not only beautiful but nice and quiet. We enjoyed a bonus siting of a deer right outside the window early one morning and again in the evening as we were watching the gorgeous sunset. The house was fully stocked with all of the basics and was very clean. Melissa and Paul were also very responsive. We highly recommend this great house!

Relaxing Beach Cottage Getaway

Had a wonderful getaway at Melissa and Paul’s beautiful cottage in Westport, Ma. It’s a nice location not far from some local beaches and also not far from Rhode Island. It is a pretty and peaceful location providing awesome ocean views and gorgeous sunsets from right from their front porch. Melissa and Paul were sweet hosts, and they provided us with some treats from local businesses upon arrival. We definitely recommend renting with them.

Wonderful!

Fantastic location! We enjoyed many long walks ( with our dog as it was off season) on the almost deserted beaches to both sides of the house. The views from the porches/deck were great. We particularly enjoyed evening cocktails on the side porch watching the sun set over the water- pond, marshes and ocean all visible together. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and everything you could need. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We intend to visit again, hopefully for a longer stay this time!

The Getaway

Originally, we were planning to spend 5 days with my wife's sister at her farm in Vermont. Her well dried up due to the drought and we decided to meet on the Rhode Island coast instead. We found a small, comfortable cottage with spectacular vies that was a short walk to the beach. The house met all of our needs. The owners were especially friendly and gracious. We would certainly be happy to return another time.

Perfect for us!

Melissa and Paul were excellent at communicating. Check in process was simple. In fact, Melissa and Paul greeted us and showed us around. They are super nice! Kitchen and living room are even bigger than they look in the photos. We had our daughter, her husband, and their two small kids first night and took them to the beach. The whole trip was worth seeing our less than 2 year old granddaughter laugh with joy at the waves and did not want to stop. My husband and I were alone for the last 4 nights there. We loved the quietness of the neighborhood, hearing the waves and the birds---grilling fresh seafood almost every night with fresh vegetables from farm stands. Beds were very comfy, loved the new tiled shower. Our favorite spot was either the rockers on front porch in the morning, or two chairs by the open windows inside---fabulous views. Air smelled so good. Thank you, Melissa and Paul! And Wesport Rose you left for us was delicious!

Excellent experience, relaxing location

Clean and comfortable oceanside cottage in a terrific neighborhood, great communications with hosts, property was as advertised. Very nice place to stay for a quiet, relaxing getaway in a wonderful setting.

Perfect cottage by the ocean

This lovely cottage is the perfect retreat for family and friends. We are a family of four and absolutely loved our time here; complete with the distant sounds of the ocean and morning bird calls, views of the beach and salt marsh ponds. We can't wait to return. November peaceful get away .

We had a wonderful relaxing time at the beach. The views are just beautiful from all over the house. (especially the top deck) The house is open and bright, very clean, cozy and everything we needed. Paul and Melissa's place is great. The view and proximity to the beach are great. Comfy beds and bedding, lots of sofa space to spread out and relax and tables to eat. Kitchen is large and spacious. Highly recommend!

Great views of a beautiful location!

Walking into Paul and Melissa's cottage on Howland Rd was enough! The magnificent views of Richmond Pond (with swans and geese) and waves breaking at Brayton Point were amazing. And from the rooftop deck, you also got the added view of Eastcock Pond, the Westport River and Horseneck Beach in the distance. Who could ask for more? But there was more, body surfing at Elephant Rock Beach in late September (the weather was plenty warm). We really loved our stay, the kitchen and living area are very ample, and the beds are comfortable. And windows all around to remind you of where you are.... We highly recommend!

AMAZING STAY!! 4.75 Star Stay

We have to say this has been an amazingly relaxing stay. First of all Melissa & Paul wonderful people and host. They are friendly and very informative on the area. They even leaves little treats from the area for you. The home is very clean and has everything you may need. Short of your food. We travel a lot and stay in many places. This one was the most relaxing and just gives you the feeling of being home. We even extended our stay a few days longer. Melissa & Paul even worked with us for that. Yes!! We have booked for next year already. I have and do highly recommend this cute cozy home. With the perfect location. I give them a 4.75 stars.. Its a must on your list of places to stay

Wonderful ocean cottage

Great cozy cottage with views of Cockeast Pond, Richmond Pond and the ocean, and a five minute walk from the beach. Loved the rooftop deck. Comfortable furnishings and kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely rent again.

Great Getaway!

Booked this, months ago, and it was worth the wait. Paul and Melissa were excellent hosts, and provided lots of suggestions for fishing, dining, farm stands, etc. Enjoyed walking on the beach, and just relaxing. Looking forward to a return visit!

Amazing location!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The owners did a terrific job making us feel welcomed and at home. The house is a few minutes walk to a sandy public beach and has beautiful water views. There's multiple decks to enjoy and a large kitchen. A real gem.
