Great stay close to Mt Snow

I stayed at the A-frame over NYE with a group of 7 plus a dog and everyone loved it. The house is very cool inside and was the perfect size for 7 of us. Owner is very nice and responsive to questions. Location is just off Rt 100 but fairly secluded so there is plenty of privacy. Hot tub was great after a day on the mountain.

Amazing Clean house tons of character

This house was absolutely amazing. Loved everything about it. Was very comfortable. Very Clean, beds and sheets were comfortable. Had everything we need except for washer and dryer, my only complaint ( which would of been helpful with all the skiing gear and hot tub) We knew ahead of time and packed accordingly . Hot tub was great for a day after skiing. First time staying in an A frame. Owner was very responsive. Very short quick ride to Mt snow. We recommend this house to anyone!!

Lovely A Frame in a great location

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is super clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was the perfect ending to a fun day of snowmobiling. Our dog had a blast too. Great communication with the host. We would love to come back and experience this gem of a cabin in the summer next time too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful, secluded cabin in the mountains

Jody’s place was absolutely beautiful. The view looking out to the front yard is just breathtaking, and the trail on the property leading to a crystal clear creek was very cool as well. Some of our favorite parts of the house were the front deck, hot tub, and beautiful simple design of the cabin. Our only minor negative comments would be that there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and in the first floor area (big ones too, we left no food out either), and the roads leading to the cabin were not paved and therefore dangerous in the rainy weather we had (we were not prepared and drove a tiny sedan, just a heads up!). Otherwise, our stay was absolutely perfect. Jody was an excellent host. We will definitely be back in the future! Thank you Jody :)

Zen-like experience

Truly a phenomenal home. Beautiful A frame on a bucolic 7 acres in VT. The house has a Zen-like feel with very intentional design and furniture, contributing to a "hygge" experience for visitors. Many fantastic outdoor activities close to the property. Our personal favorite was a watering hole we discovered unexpectedly off Rte 100. Jody is a wonderful host and very responsive to any inquiries.

Relaxing and serene

Our stay at the chalet was so incredibly relaxing. The home is tucked away amongst the trees in a beautiful music setting. The house has everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable!

Idyllic Vermont Cabin

This property is fantastic. Feels very private, but is not in the middle of nowhere. House is super clean and wonderfully laid out (2 BR + 1 full bath downstairs, 1 BR + 0.5 bath upstairs.) Jody provides everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and is also super responsive. We spent the weekend skiing at Mount Snow (~15 min drive), hanging out by the fire (you must bring your own wood, but super easy to purchase at local stores), and soaking in the hot tub. I cannot recommend this spot enough. I’ve stayed at a number of different homes in Vermont, and the accommodations here are superb. We’re looking forward to coming back!

Mid week getaway

I would move to this perfect little house if I could. We just wanted a quick escape and this house was perfection. Super cozy, quiet, perfectly appointed and picture perfect. Cant wait to come back again. Our host was very quick to answer us with any questions and the hot tub was a welcome perk. Thank you!

A nice spot for rest and relaxation

My family enjoyed a long weekend of peace and tranquillity. The perfect home base for a classic Vermont weekend. We hiked the property, enjoyed fires inside and at the fire pit. The hot tub was a great spot to enjoy the stars that felt close enough to touch. The house was clean and comfortable. Jody was a responsive host who gave great guidance and answered all our questions. Will definitely be back!!!!!

Nice Cabin with Caveats

It is a nice cabin overall, yet we experienced issues with the readiness for it to be rented. Check in time was stated to be at 4:00pm. When we arrived at 4:30pm, the cabin was not ready as renovation was being done on the cabin. The construction was wrapping up and the cabin was being cleaned which delayed our entry. We were able to put our luggage into the cabin about 15-30 minutes later. Subsequently, we went to pickup groceries and let them finish up. They were still there when we returned, and the construction person finally left around 7:00pm. This renovation removed the upstairs bedroom with the large windows that was looking over the property, which was one of the features presented in the listing. It opened up the living room area, but at the cost of a bedroom. It also changed the stairway upstairs, which are now somewhat small and steep with a single handrail that is wobbly. Related to the renovation was the mess and hazards left behind by the construction person. We found a razor blade on the path to the parking area, broken glass on the porch, nails in and around the fire pit outside, and screws in the parking area. The screws were found after one was found in the tire of my car, which happened to be less than a week old. Sawdust coated all of the porch and stairs, which became all over the floors despite removing our shoes. The cabin is wonderful, despite these things that are related to poor construction site management by the person performing the renovation. The cabin was very clean on the inside and fresh smelling. It is ideally located on a quiet road with no close neighbors. The view from inside is relaxing with the fireplace and large windows. The hot tub provides a similar view which is relaxing. The downstairs bathroom was renovated with new tile and vanity. Additionally, the kitchen is updated, too. Would I recommend to rent this cabin, Yes. My experience was unfortunate, but should not deter others from this property. The owner is addressing these concerns which will not affect future rentals.

Thanksgiving getaway

Beautiful property . Comfy sleeping arrangements! Nice wood burning fireplace ,( must bring your own wood !) Kitchen is small but very functional, could be better appointed with cooking utensils, cookware, spices etc. main bathroom can use an update but functional, nice linens ! Owner is very gracious and quick to respond. Would definitely return !

Black a frame

This property was wonderful and Jodi was an excellent host, she was extremely easy to reach and quick to respond. The house is nestled on a beautiful lot and is great for a getaway with friends. Our only feedback is that the kitchen could be better equipped with cookware (additional plates, larger pans) given the remoteness of the cabin, and the likelihood guests will be cooking their meals onsite! Otherwise we had an excellent stay. Thanks Jodi!

Beautiful, updated and spotless A-frame cabin in the woods

What a joy it was to spend time in this cozy, beautiful and updated A-frame cabin in the woods. The cabin is located in a remote location, off a dirt/gravel road, without neighbors in sight. The grounds are large and bucolic, with large trees framing an extended lawn that includes some perennials, a fire pit amd hammock, as well as a picnic table tucked in its own corner of this exptensive and private yard. The deck appears new and in excellent repair, and houses a table with chairs, as well as umbrella for shade, and our favorite, a large hot-tub to soothe your muscles after a long day hiking the beautuful array of trails and mountains nearby. It's quiet at night - the only sounds are the rustling of the leaves on the many trees on the propery. Our dog was a welcome guest here - he could run around the large yard without us worrying about traffic - and the house has a guest dog bed and dog bowls. The furnishings are updated and tasteful - clean lines without clutter. Everything you need is there for a comfortable stay. We cooked in the well appointed kitchen most nights, and you will find thoughtfully stocked shelves - cooking basics like olive oil, spices, sugar, paper towels, dishwasher soap, sponges, trashbags, are all provided. Pots and pans were clean and in excellent shape. The bedding is high quality and comfortable - high thread count soft sheets and duvets are found in each of the bedrooms. The view from the master loft into the beautiful yard from the practically floor to ceiling window is spectacular and peaceful. The water pressure was somewhat low, and to be expected in such a remote location. It was adequate however, and got the job done. The upstairs powder room is very small, but again, perfectly adequate. The house is supplied with an abundance of nice quality towels and comfy wool blankets for the evenings. Everything is in excellent shape in this lovely mountain cabin which appears to have undergone a gut rennovation. We enjoyed our stay tremendously, and Jody is a wonderful host. She was in communcation quickly whenever a question arose, and provided excellent tips for hiking in the area, and suggestions for places to obtain supplies. Leaving was hard! We'll be back!

Great Ski Getaway!!

We enjoyed a great holiday getaway with our kids at the cabin. The cabin is modern but rustic, super cozy and the fire place was great! We had a great time skiing at Mt Snow (10min away) and Stratton Mtn (20min away). We had a great time snowmobiliing at Mt Snow. The kids loved the hot tub and the location was so quiet and relaxing. The host had thought everything you needed and we can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great getaway!

I am an avid runner (I can give you some recommendations on the local back roads), yogi, and [just recently] knitter (check out The Ugly Ducking in Dover). We love nature and feel so fortunate to own a little piece of the green mountain to share with like minded people. We get up as often as we can to explore new favorites and meet incredible locals each time.

Such a gorgeous unique modern A frame that will absolutely make you feel like you are far removed from connected to nature, yet close to great adventures, like skiing, golfing, hiking, grout pond, outlets in Manchester, antiques galore, etc.
Enjoy your evenings soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking or skiing.
I have one bedroom upstairs set up for children with lots of toys and books and dvds to keep the little ones entertained.
