We had high hopes, booking 6 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. The pictures look good, the location is good. But we immediately had regrets when we arrived. The location hadn't been cleaned, the location wasn't livable for more than 2 people, and there were parts of the house that were in disrepair. I'll go through each:1. Cleanliness - it just hadn't been cleaned at all. There were sticky rings on the counters and tables, the bathrooms were disgusting (hair on the counters, pee on the toilets, etc.), there were dead insects on the floors, food under foot as you walked on the carpet. Just really dirty.2. Unlivable - one would expect a VRBO that can accommodate 8 guests to come with more than 5 bath towels, more than 2 plates or 3 cups, any number of hand towels in the bathrooms or kitchen...3. Disrepair - the entire house was under furnished, which isn't a big deal but points to the lack of readiness that we saw elsewhere. Lamps that were non functional and broken down in a corner. A set of window shades just leaning up in a corner. The entryway closet almost falling off its hinges. The box cutters and sterile gloves just sitting in a closet...We left after the first night. I've stayed in many (20) VRBOs and this was absolutely the worst I've experienced. To the host's credit, they were mostly communicable throughout the process, and they provided a partial refund for our stay.Pick a different house.
