Welcome to the Little Fox Lake Cottage. Stay comfortably in New Buffalo at this 3-bedroom cottage. The bedrooms feature 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, and 1 twin bed, ensuring a serene night's sleep for all guests. An additional living room space with a twin bed provides delightful extra room to relax. Feel free to bring your dogs as we are pet friendly. New owners take over and update a successful rental on this platform and others.
You don't need a car to get here - we are walkable to the Amtrak station. Once here you do not need a car as the beach is just .7 of a mile walk and downtown to Stray Dog, David's or the new phenomenal Post Boy are just a 5 minute walk.
When you enter the house you will have a wide open space with a vaulted ceiling and a loft area (5 feet tall so great for kids or for lounging (not a sleeping area). You have dining area with bench seating and Serena Lily chairs that seat 9 in case you meet a few people and invite them for a drink or dinner.
The first bedroom is a double on the bottom with a twin bunk on top. All rooms are thoughtfully decorated with white linens and Pendleton throws for a vintage cottage vibe.
The living room includes a couch for seating 3 to 4 people, two Crate and Barrel swivel chairs and additional rattan chairs for easy conversational seating. The living room faces the gas fireplace available in October to May.
The second and third bedrooms are both queen beds decorated in the same thoughtful cottage style.
The bunk room and queen room share the hall bath which has a shower tub combo and sink and toilet.
The primary bedroom has a jetted tub and water closet with sink. In classic New Buffalo cottage style the tub is in the bedroom and large enough for 2.
The primary bedroom has a smart TV for streaming and an Xfinity app or whatever your preference for streaming. The living room TV is also smart and has a cable box.
The kitchen is a vintage cottage kitchen with a stove and refrigerator but no dishwasher. There is every pot and pan you would want, a crock pot, toaster and a regular drip Moccamaster coffee pot as well as a Nespresso. We supply regular, decaf and ice coffee pods as well as sweeteners. The marble island is a great space for serving dinner to a crew or for food prep.
We supply some bowls if you happen to bring your furry friends on vacation.
Off the kitchen is a door outdoors which leads to a gated yard with grass, Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. There is also a picnic table seating for 6 and a gas grill.
Off the kitchen is the door downstairs which leads to the washer and dryer, play area for kids and an additional trundle bed if anyone wants their own space instead of sharing the queens or double bed. Please watch your head as the ceilings are not higher than 7 feet downstairs.
The shining features of this home are the cozy intimate feel with the classic vintage style and upgrades as well as the close proximity to everything that brings you to New Buffalo.
Walk anywhere in town but there is also parking for two cars to the left of the home. If needed, an additional car can park across the street. Just 25 minutes to Notre Dame - the perfect place to stay to catch a game - enjoy the charm of New Buffalo before and after your Notre Dame event.
