Okay, for location.

The apartment is in a perfect location.Yes, street noise, but with windows closed , no problem.Very good contact with the owner via WhatsApp.Check in was easy with the App supplied .But’The Sofa bed, very difficult to unfold and was uncomfortable, as were the pillows, lumpy.Kitchen utensils are limited, and unlike many rental apartments, no necessities supplied, like, even Salt , extra garbage bags, Some dishwasher capsules are supplied.Noises from other tenants. Doors slamming.

Lovely, cozy apt with historical touches

This is a comfortable apt , lovely historical touches, & fully furnished even with a washing machine - dried articles overnight on ironing board. This apt is for the young & hearty - we were on the 3rd floor, overseas suitcases, & 2 seniors! Shower could use a bit of updating but overall Close to activities, Mercado, & very clean.

A great base from which to explore Madrid!

This apartment is perfect for a couple/small group that wants to experience Madrid. Located just one block off the famous Puerta del Sol plaza, the property has many shops, restaurants, and grocery stores close by, is an easy walk to the Plaza Mayor, and is handy to Madrid’s clean and efficient Metro system. The apartment owner has updated and decorated the property beautifully. The kitchen is compact, efficient, and modern. Located on a busy pedestrian street, noise from the foot traffic at night goes on past midnight, but with a police station two doors down, we had no worries about security!Bottom line, we’ll gladly stay here again on our next visit to Madrid!

Very nice place

Our family of 4 stayed here over new years and it was the perfect location for that. We have two little kids and didn’t want to walk far for the celebration since it would be late and this couldn’t have been a better spot. It was clean, had a nice large bathroom, a spacious bedroom, and a decently comfortable bed. The description does say it has a dryer, but it does not. It has an electric drying rack. That was a huge let down for us as I was expecting a dryer. Also, the shower has a shower curtain instead of a door which is a pain and we felt not ideal for sanitation. The host was very communicative when reached and the check in and check out was very easy. Also, it’s right next door to a police station so it was very safe. I don’t think I would stay here outside of new years just because it’s so noisy outside and it keeps you up at night. We had read that in the reviews and had expected it but it was definitely loud. Not having very much natural light in the apartment was also hard but we only stayed 5 days so it was okay. Overall I would highly recommend this place!

Spacious apartment

Spacious apartment in busy area but not too noisy considering the location which was very central. Easy to walk everywhere but close metro too. Plenty of places to eat with supermarket close by. Very enjoyable stay, safe for a single female

Madrid break

Marga's VRBO was very centrally located and was a lovely comfortable and very secure apartment. The street outside was very noise - all night long! - but the windows and shutters kept the noise out and we were very comfortable. Madrid is a wonderful city for a two-day break; everything you want to see is within walking distance and there are literally hundreds of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Comfortable apartment in great location

The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and communication with the owner was easy. Although the apartment is located on a very busy (foot traffic) street, the windows provided great sound proofing (if you need quiet in the evening). The location was perfect, you can walk to many places and there is a metro stop very nearby (gran via or sol). We only made coffee in the morning or eat leftovers, but the kitchen seemed very nice. Bed was comfortable and shower was great.

Precious space next to police station

This was our first trip to Madrid and we chose this apartment due to the photos. Pros: very comfortable bed, great shower, close to Gran Via and Sol metro stops. Marga was proactive in sharing check in process. Very clean. Cons: check in was complicated with a secondary app and email communication was blocked by Venmo. (And yes, I checked my Spam.) Very noisy street next to the police station. Bring earplugs. We accidentally scheduled a three nights, one of which ended up being a travel day and we wouldn’t be there. I tried to cancel and Marga said she’d leave our dates the same. We waited a bit and with over two months before our trip, I initiated a refund through the app. We were refunded 110 Eu for one night credit, and the billed amount increased to 190eu for the two nights we kept. Didn’t feel great about that.

Perfect Location - great apartment

This apartment is perfect for 2-3 people. I traveled with two of my children and this apartment had everything we needed. The location cannot be beat. We could easily walk to the apartment from anywhere in the city. We have already referred a friend and would gladly stay here again. Marga was very responsive to all communications. The only challenge we had was with the app for check-in. The Hoomvip app would log us off and then require that we sign-in again. Thankfully someone let us into the front door. Marga then buzzed us into the next door when we reached out to her. The final code required was for the keys and it was manual. Once we had the keys we had no problems getting into the building for the rest of the trip. However challenging that was after a long flight, we still give this five stars. The apartment was perfect for us, a great location, and a reasonable price.

Es ist ein hübsches kleines Apartment mitten drin. Für einen Kurztrip sehr geeignet. Allerdings ist das Schlafsofa leider ziemlich unbequem, wir würden empfehlen es auszutauschen.

Check in was a pain

Every step of check-in process was a pain. I had to upload another app (Hoomvip) that has bad ratings, trust my family’s passports information to this app. Taking photos of the passports wasn’t easy either. It didn’t like the light, the borders, the banding of the passport books. Finally when we were done, we had to wait the check in time to open the doors through the app. You know, I couldn’t open VRBO messages for half a day. Internet connection is not that reliable. So we opened the door for the building, but the door to hallway with our apartment wasn’t opening. The app failed. I started messaging to the owner, but VRBO wasn’t working well. I was calling directly but the owner didn’t want to communicate directly. She told us that the door worked yesterday and she is not sure what was going on. This is not what we want to hear with a 5 year old and bunch of suit cases in a small stairwell. Honestly, we sort of broke in to get to the apartment door where the keys for all the doors were in a lock box. We finally got in and imagine my delight when I used the bathroom immediately and realized that there was no toilet paper! No basic things: sponge for washing dishes, no tea, no coffee, no sugar. I think hotels have more accommodations. The apartment is nice. The check in time is 2 pm - the earliest I have heard about. The location is safe, but noisy. Book something near Madrid parks if you’re looking for quiet setting. I believe contactless check in is not working for foreign guests. I don’t need to receive messages and screenshots in Spanish is I only speak English.

Great place in a busy area

This apartment is great for a couple. The street it’s on is very busy/touristy, though it was not a problem. My biggest complaint is that our wifi did not work well. Overall still a good stay.

Sa localisation en plein centre est idéale pour tout faire à pied, même si en contrepartie elle est un peu bruyante certaines nuits. Puerta del Sol Apartment

My husband and I spent five nights here. The apartment was charming with three balconies and a great location for attractions and the metro. We were able to make a few small meals in the kitchen, with a grocery store nearby. The apartment is in a busy pedestrian and shopping area, making for nighttime noise. We used ear plugs and were fine.
