The apartment was advertised as having a washer and dryer, which was a key consideration in our renting this unit. This proved not to be the case. The "dryer" was.an electric expandable rack, which was a poor replica/alternative to a dryer.Pictures of the unit show a lovely little table on a balcony, which again was very misleading. There is no seating, and if there was a small chair and table I really don't think there was room to put either item on the very small balcony.Half of the limited.electrical outlet.had "Do Not Touch" signs on them, so we were limited to charge rationing and prioritizing.The last two issues I suppose.were our fault...we assumed there would be shampoo and soap...there was one soap pump on bathroom sink, but it would have been nice (or reasonable) to have a small supply to tide new travelers over until they could get to a grocery. The other issue was the location. I don't recall having access to the address prior to confirming and paying, but it might be the worst spot to rent in Madrid if you're older than 22 years old; it was not a restful place (unless you traveled to Madrid for a tattoo, CBD gummies, cheap souvenier shops or a large phalanx of police officers.Outside of that, it was great ! This is my sixth or seventh trip to Madrid, and I wouldn't stay here again.

Spacious apartment

Spacious apartment in busy area but not too noisy considering the location which was very central. Easy to walk everywhere but close metro too. Plenty of places to eat with supermarket close by. Very enjoyable stay, safe for a single female

Lovely, cozy apt with historical touches

This is a comfortable apt , lovely historical touches, & fully furnished even with a washing machine - dried articles overnight on ironing board. This apt is for the young & hearty - we were on the 3rd floor, overseas suitcases, & 2 seniors! Shower could use a bit of updating but overall Close to activities, Mercado, & very clean.

Comfortable apartment in great location

The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and communication with the owner was easy. Although the apartment is located on a very busy (foot traffic) street, the windows provided great sound proofing (if you need quiet in the evening). The location was perfect, you can walk to many places and there is a metro stop very nearby (gran via or sol). We only made coffee in the morning or eat leftovers, but the kitchen seemed very nice. Bed was comfortable and shower was great.

Madrid break

Marga's VRBO was very centrally located and was a lovely comfortable and very secure apartment. The street outside was very noise - all night long! - but the windows and shutters kept the noise out and we were very comfortable. Madrid is a wonderful city for a two-day break; everything you want to see is within walking distance and there are literally hundreds of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

A great base from which to explore Madrid!

This apartment is perfect for a couple/small group that wants to experience Madrid. Located just one block off the famous Puerta del Sol plaza, the property has many shops, restaurants, and grocery stores close by, is an easy walk to the Plaza Mayor, and is handy to Madrid’s clean and efficient Metro system. The apartment owner has updated and decorated the property beautifully. The kitchen is compact, efficient, and modern. Located on a busy pedestrian street, noise from the foot traffic at night goes on past midnight, but with a police station two doors down, we had no worries about security!Bottom line, we’ll gladly stay here again on our next visit to Madrid!

Okay, for location.

The apartment is in a perfect location.Yes, street noise, but with windows closed , no problem.Very good contact with the owner via WhatsApp.Check in was easy with the App supplied .But’The Sofa bed, very difficult to unfold and was uncomfortable, as were the pillows, lumpy.Kitchen utensils are limited, and unlike many rental apartments, no necessities supplied, like, even Salt , extra garbage bags, Some dishwasher capsules are supplied.Noises from other tenants. Doors slamming.

Great Location. Very cute flate

The location is great. 2 minutes from Sol Station. If you want something quiet, this is not for you. I like the hussle and bussle of a city. Very close the great shopping and attractions. Walking to most places was possible from here.The bedroom is comfortable. Lots of wardrobe space.The kitchen is sufficient. No washing sponges and liquid provided. I was only staying a few days and didn't want to purchase a big bottle of washing up liquid and sponge. It would be great if this was supplied. The sofa bed is large, but my son found it a little uncofortable. The slates has fallen underneath, which he fixed. However, overal, a lovely apartement and I had a great stay there.

Overall a very nice small apartment in the heart of Sol, which is a very beautiful and busy part of Madrid. We had some inconveniences which affected our ability to really enjoy the property. It was a bit tough to reach the property owner unless we called (app messages were super delayed) including when we could not initially find the apartment and due to a plumbing issue since day 1 which was never resolved during our entire stay. We had water overflowing in the bathroom which was already a very tiny space and hard we had no cleaning supplies available to manage it ourselves either. This took up extra daily cleaning time from our plans. We also had a couple washer that I wasn’t sure worked very well but no dryer. We had to use electric heating racks which take very long. While we loved the location during the day, the noise levels outside at night were very high and usually kept us up until 2-4am. The AC worked and there was a very pretty balcony directly onto Calle Montera.

Perfect Location - great apartment

This apartment is perfect for 2-3 people. I traveled with two of my children and this apartment had everything we needed. The location cannot be beat. We could easily walk to the apartment from anywhere in the city. We have already referred a friend and would gladly stay here again. Marga was very responsive to all communications. The only challenge we had was with the app for check-in. The Hoomvip app would log us off and then require that we sign-in again. Thankfully someone let us into the front door. Marga then buzzed us into the next door when we reached out to her. The final code required was for the keys and it was manual. Once we had the keys we had no problems getting into the building for the rest of the trip. However challenging that was after a long flight, we still give this five stars. The apartment was perfect for us, a great location, and a reasonable price.

Very nice place

Our family of 4 stayed here over new years and it was the perfect location for that. We have two little kids and didn’t want to walk far for the celebration since it would be late and this couldn’t have been a better spot. It was clean, had a nice large bathroom, a spacious bedroom, and a decently comfortable bed. The description does say it has a dryer, but it does not. It has an electric drying rack. That was a huge let down for us as I was expecting a dryer. Also, the shower has a shower curtain instead of a door which is a pain and we felt not ideal for sanitation. The host was very communicative when reached and the check in and check out was very easy. Also, it’s right next door to a police station so it was very safe. I don’t think I would stay here outside of new years just because it’s so noisy outside and it keeps you up at night. We had read that in the reviews and had expected it but it was definitely loud. Not having very much natural light in the apartment was also hard but we only stayed 5 days so it was okay. Overall I would highly recommend this place!
