Ideal beach getaway

Four high school girlfriends enjoyed a two-day reunion here to celebrate our 60th year! It was even better than we hoped for. The location and view were perfect; the beds/pillows were great; the kitchen was very well-equipped; the experience/interaction with host company was seamless. Thanks for hosting our first stay to Amelia Island. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, updated condo directly on the beach! There’s so much to do on the plantation! We wish we would have stayed longer! We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent location right on the beach. Beautiful condo.

Our family enjoyed staying here. Our daughter and her children had their own unit. Nice pool. Convenient location near laundry room.

Beautiful views and comfortable design

This was the best layout with 5 queen size beds. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Even the towels were soft and good quality. The views of the sunrise over the water were awesome from every room.

Great condo

We loved our stay at Amelia Island! The condo was great-nicely decorated, plenty of beds, well-stocked kitchen, beach chairs/toys, great location, and most importantly, clean. The walk to the beach was short, and the view out the balconies was beautiful. The pool was clean and the resort itself was well-maintained. The only issue we had, which is a personal choice, were the beds being too soft and squishy for my hubby and I. The kids loved the beds though. Overall, great experience.

Great location adjacent to Omni AIP

Great location adjacent to the Omni Amelia Island Hotel. Perfect for families with older kids as the two bedrooms are separated by kitchen/living quarters - this keeps the space much more quiet than most floor plans. Both bedrooms also have private oceanfront balconies. One bedroom has a queen bed and queen bunks. Our teens loved having such comfortable sleeping space and their own bathroom. We would definitely rent this unit again.

Great Location, Beautiful Property- no heated pool!!

We love The Omni Amelia Island Plantation, If you’ve never been it’s so beautiful and would highly recommend. The condo was beautiful and the perfect location (very close to all the restaurants and shopping) but the pool was freezing! My only complaint was not having a heated pool, especially since it is open year round. Our kids were so disappointed they couldn’t swim.

Decent Place

Everything was pretty good. Only problem we had was trying to figure out if there was a grill somewhere on the property so we could grill some dinner. Tried reaching out to the number that was given with no response. FYI - There are no grills there. Other than that, the Omni is a beautiful place, and the Sandcastles are great.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is so much more than we expected. It is located in the gated Omni Resort. The property offers never ending amenities. The beach is just steps away. The entire facility is very clean. All within driving distance to great restaurants, shops, hiking trails, Fort Clinch etc, that is if you didn’t want tot enjoy those amenities at the resort. What a great place! We look forward to staying here again!!

Great location. Beautiful resort. Great view from the 2 balconies. Love how close it is to the sand... short walk. Spacious living space, well maintained. Overall very nice furnishings (with new sofa that is upgraded from the picture) with 2 exceptions: the beds in main bedroom were not very comfortable and would be the main reason I would not stay here again. Also I think the reason we kept finding dirty dishes in the cabinets is because the dishwasher didn't work well because we often had to rewash dishes that came out of the dishwasher. Plus it was really loud! If not for these 2 issues I would reedy this again without hesitation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Right on the beach with spectacular ocean views! This unit is perfect for couples and families. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. They provide 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella and sand toys for the kids. There is a starter supply of the basics. The unit is bright and very clean. The only thing I would suggest to the owners, is to provide a late checkout with no additional charge. I asked to check out a bit late (noon), but was told there would be a $40 late check out fee. I've stayed at many airnb, vrbo and other properties and they will always allow a later checkout, with no fee.

The inside of the condo has a lot of room and many things have been updated. It gives plenty of room and privacy for adults and children with the 2 separate suites and balconies. You can not see each other from the balconies. It is right on the beach, although you have to walk out of the parking lot side of the building and then walk around the building or through the pool. The biggest problem is that they do not provide BEACH chairs or towels! In a Beach condo!!! They are all “locked” inside the owners closet who is unreachable as Vacasa manages the property. Vacasa was totally unhelpful, “they said well rent them but we don’t know where you can do that.” There are no rentals! We’re not buying beach chairs for 4 days. The building is horribly outdated and needs some TLC. It is disappointing to pull up to such an outdated building. Most of the things in the condo are updates but there are still relics-the popcorn ceiling and toilet seats, there is some black mold in the master shower ceiling. Would stay in the Omni next time.

Great location for a relaxing week

We spent a week in this condo. Located on the 3rd floor in a beach-front building, the unit is nicely sited to provide a good view over the dunes and vegetation without feeling too far up in the air. We appreciated the fact that we had palm trees by our balcony as well as the dunes of the Hidden Forest to our south blocking the view of the Omni hotel complex, which is next door but shielded by the dunes and forest. The unit itself is comfortable but a bit dated and somewhat institutional in ambience. The rooms are tastefully decorated, but the kitchen and bathrooms look like they haven't been updated since the building was constructed. Everything was clear and in good working order, but it all seemed past due for an upgrade. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, glassware, and appliances, though the latter were definitely not high-end. We also lamented the following shortcomings: dim bedroom lighting, the absence of a chair in one of the two bedrooms, and the total absence of any documents explaining unit maintenance (e.g., the presence of a recycling bin) and food and activity resources in the area. If you want the feeling of luxury and state-of-the art furnishings, this unit is not for you. Comfortable, convenient, with good views, but not all that impressive.
