Spacious and extremely well lit. Loved the big deck and porch. Comfy couches and comfy beds. Could have used more kitchen supplies-pot holders, baking dishes, more silverware, garbage bags, etc.

vegetation around the house overgrown, not easy to find, outside of the place not well maintain and not access to the beach from the property , the pictures of the property are misleading , inside was average , clean but very old appearance of the furniture and kitchen appliances, bathroom tub rusty and not safe for old people. I will not recommend for family w children not a place to enjoy around the property.

Family vacation

The place was perfect! Very quiet. The beach was right there. We definitely will be staying here again if we come back to St. Augustine. It had a washer and dryer in the garage, a huge porch in front and deck in back. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of space. We absolutely loved it.

Conveniently located to the beach, just a short walk to beach access. Quiet neighborhood. Within walking distance to some great restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

Great beach week

Hope to be back as the location was awesome, house was cleaned well enough and we enjoyed our experience with vacasa - our fingers are crossed they invest in the home a little more before next time so it's a bit better supplied with essentials and updated amenities.

Beautiful cozy house

Had a wonderful stay at this property while in St. Augustine. The house was extremely clean upon arrival and is located right next to the beach access point. Literally less than a five minute walk to get onto the beach and set up camp. The shower is the master bedroom was a bit messed up but it wasn’t that big of a deal because the other shower was fine. 5 of us stayed for the Holiday weekend and the house had more than enough space to accommodate us and more if need be. Located about 20 minutes from downtown St. Augustine making it super convenient to drive back and forth for activities and dinner. There was also a good amount of restaurants, bars, and a grocery store located within a mile of the property. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway!

Excellent time

This house was everything we thought it would be. It was the perfect size for our family. The area is nice and quite. Just a short drive into town. I absolutely loved being able to wake up and walk to the beach to see the sunrise while the rest of my family was still asleep. We made some great memories here.

When we arrived at the property, we thought that the house looked condemned and the yard looked like it had never been mowed or cleared. The checkin process was easy.Once we got inside the house, there was plenty of room to move around and there was a lot of sleeping options.Then we noticed the deplorable condition of the house especially the paint, back deck and the broken chairs. There was boards loose around the house and there were branches rubbing on the roof which kept us awake the 1st night.There was very little kitchen utensils and no water pressure in the kitchen sink.There is only 1 restaurant near by and no shopping available except the Dollar General!There isbeach access just next to the house next door but there were sand dunes that we had to climb over. Nice beach and not to crowded.The bathtubs looked like they were painted over and the fixtures were very loose.The worst part is that we did not have internet access nor tv access over our entire visit. The customer service suggestion was to shut off and turn back on the router, which we did several times to no avail. I would not recommend this vacation rental house to anyone!!

ABANDONED PROPERTY

House is in DEPLORABLE CONDITION!! Less than 24 hours after arriving had 2 call 911 about a man showing up at the house. I was in town for a celebration of life for my nephew what a nightmare it was for 3 1/2 hours we were 2 senior ladies staying there. House is moldy smell had to purchase plugin air freshener.Furniture is stained and patio furniture was broken deck boards raised and not attached, bathroom tubs were painted and peeling off, stove has hot surface on all the time, walls cracked and ceiling by fireplace falling off, boards missing all around the house mold on everything!! Pictures are not what house looks like!! Would NEVER RENT AGAIN

Frozen

Great loaction. Cute beach house. However, it happened to be cold that weekend and there was no heat. My wife and kids basically froze the 1st night, the temp in the house was 60f.It was a brutal 1st night. After contacting the property manager came almost 10 hrs later to fix absolutely nothing. The 2nd night was just as cold, It got so cold, we had to go buy heater from Walmart at 10pm. After complaining to second day, they said they were gonna relocate us and never did. Awesome location and cute property, just no heat. I hope they fix it, so no other family has freeze at night, like my whole family did.

Great house for beach on a budget.

Great location and you cant beat the price. House had everything we needed. All appliances worked great. AC worked great as well. Full set of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. No direct beach access, but that doesnt matter much when all you need to do is walk one house down. Close to everything. Only complaint would be no clear check out process. Ex- what to do with sheets, towels and garbage. We just used our best judgment. Overall this was an excellent stay.

Overall pleasant experience

Walking up to the property I was sure I had made a huge mistake. The outside of the home was in pretty rough shape. But inside was as clean as you could ask for, and the rooms were in great shape! Everything worked as it should accept the tv's, but I suspect it was due to the satellite dish having fell off the roof. Anyway we only had one stormy day so we made due with DVD's just fine. The beach access was fantastic and pretty conveniently located to everything you could want in a vacation home. Overall a great stay for the money on a beautiful beach!

Work in progress

The location of the property was wonderful, short, walk around the corner to the beach. The property itself seem to be undergoing renovations. Somethings were modern and up-to-date and other things were kind of falling apart, for instance, the outdoor furniture and the bathrooms. One suggestion would be to have a sign or note to alert renters that washer and dryer are in the garage and have the garage door opener obviously available. We just happen to come across it in a kitchen drawer. Overall, nice day and plenty of room for a mixed group of people

Not quite ready for visitors

The property has a great location and tons of potential, but seems to still be in the process of a needed renovation. There were construction materials stored in the screen room, outlets in the bathroom didn't work, the garage (where the washer and dryer for the property are located) is a jumble of piled up construction items and junk. We requested the exterior trash that surrounded the property be cleaned up before we arrived (my dad inspected it). Most was, but it has been thrown in to an open trash bin that was still in the backyard. The property wasn't ready for visitors.

For Beach Lovers

This property is perfect for a certain type of vacationer. If you are looking for luxury accommodations with upgraded furnishings and fixtures, this is not the place for you. The kitchen was adequate, the furniture and rooms are kind of thrown together and all of the beach amenities were broken, but for us, the pros outweighed any cons. The beach is a 3 minute walk away and it is amazing. It gets a little crowded during the day, but after 5pm you practically have the beach to your self. And since it stays light until almost 9pm during the summer, this was perfect. The town of St. Augustine is a great little town with tons of shopping, historical spots, animals, and tours to keep you busy in between soaking up rays and swimming in the eighty degree ocean. All told, we had a great time, and the house was a nice place to relax between activities (mostly because of the awesome AC). My only suggestion to the owners would be more pillows and blankets for the beds and some actual beach amenities. We ended up buying our own chairs to sit in, and luckily we brought a few of our own beach towels and toys.

Slow response to air conditioner issues

The house is adequate but a little dated. The lighting situation is kind of bizarre. You either have the brightest lights in the house blaring or you have one light on. For instance, the recessed filters in the living room had 12 lights I think and it was either all were on or all were off. A dimmer switch would’ve been nice and easy to have. But the biggest issue was the air conditioner was not working. It was 85 in the house when I arrived and it was obvious the air conditioner had not working for a while. I called Vrbo and was assured that they had informed the property manager and the property manager was going to bring over temporary air conditioners until the part that they had ordered would be in. It seemed as if they knew the air conditioner wasn’t working and they were waiting on a part for quite a while, but that may be What I gathered through the conversations that I had with customer service. I demanded a refund because the air conditioner didn’t get fixed until the second to last evening of our visit. Then the air conditioner worked fine but it took 4 to 5 phone calls to complain and I did ask for a refund which I’m still gonna follow up on. I don’t need a total refund but compensation for a couple of days of sleeping in 85 heat in Florida would be nice. Location is awesome! House itself is dark upon arrival and tucked in the corner, but it is located across the dunes from the beach, which made an easy walk to the beach and the beach was lovely.

Hidden Gem of a Vacation Home

We loved staying in this fixed up home. It felt cozy and spacious for our family of five. My oldest child has his own space and two youngest shared the queen be. We had a king in a small room but it worked great. The coffee situation was AWESOME! They had a few filters, even some coffee, and the two machines seemed brand new. I felt like someone had anticipated things we would need but might not have with us. We were traveling and had just stayed at another VRBO that was stripped clean so this was so nice! There were a couple of books, a lot of boogie boards and a few sand toys! We had not brought those things because of space in vehicle. The home is a very short walk to a beach that was not crowded. I could allow my teen to go alone to practice soccer on the beach without fear. We felt safe. The small neighborhood was quiet. Efforts to improve the place were obvious. There is one nail as you walk into front deck that needs to be hammered down a bit for safety. In middle bathroom, the air vent maybe should be replaced. But those two suggestions are all I have. I was very happy with our stay. I would definitely stay again. We bought and left two beach chairs in garage. I hope the next guests enjoy their stay!

Great vacation spot

The house is plenty big enough to handle a large family or multi-generations. It is quite a short walk to the beach and the beach is lovely; even on the weekend it was not overcrowded. The house is well supplied in the kitchen and bathroom area with ample linens. It does need a little maintenance. The deck is quite rough (needs a good sanding) but we just wore our sandals out there. It is large and wraps around the house which helps with the sand from the beach. We spent a lot of time cooking outside and listening to the surf. I would recommend some updates - the toaster needs replacing, door locks on the back could use some work as they are very difficult to operate, the coffee pot was cracked but the property manager offered to bring another one right away. We were able to just use the single cup option so that wasn't necessary. Being on the beach - the house could really use some outdoor towel racks or a drying rack or washer/dryer and a longer hose out front so you can rinse out your suits and floats. Other than that - it was a perfect get away for our family. We had a great deal of fun. It's close to downtown and there are great restaurants and shops even closer. Instacart delivers to the house which is so convenient. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. The small items I mentioned are just that - small items. Overall - I would give it almost a 5!
