Welcome to this one-of-a-kind vacation home in Summer Haven, Florida. If you're looking for a place to truly get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, look no further. You'll enjoy front-row seats to the most spectacular sunrises in the country, as well as fabulous surf and excellent opportunities to collect shells. Drive into town to find local eateries, arts, entertainment, historical landmarks, and an array of family-friendly activities.

Inside, you'll be met with a bright interior and warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. The open concept promotes togetherness, and no conversation will be lost here! Gather around the grand fireplace to exchange stories, or to take in a movie night on the large TV. Hobby chefs will love preparing grand meals and beach picnic snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with all the cupboard room you'll ever need. A lovely walk-in shower is perfect to wash off the sand and sunscreen at the end of the day. If you need to stay connected, a dedicated workspace is available in one of the guest rooms. With four beds, there's plenty of room for everyone to get a restful night's sleep from the day's activities.

Great short stay in the historic hut

We loved this place. Water on both sides with great views. Comfortable cottage with beautiful heart pine floors. We enjoyed the old Florida atmosphere.

Honeymoon

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. We enjoyed many mornings and evenings spent on the lookout above the house. It was a perfect, relaxing getaway we desperately needed. We had only one issue with the microwave towards the end of our stay but they were quick to assess the issue and help us out.

Charming cottage

I didn't think you could find oceanfront property as quie as this location, but it exists. It is a historic charming location built in the 1800's, but with the amenities added that you need in the modern world. Only a few minutes away from restaurants, shopping, etc. and just a short drive from St. Augustine. We are looking forward to visiting again!

Great spot

The road is washed out. We had to find our own way there past a “Road Closed” sign. VRBO didn’t give us the address for the location until well after we were told we could check-in. A little bumpy but we made it.

Quiet reflection

The house is secluded, the road is only used by residents, so lovely sunrise from the crow's nest perch on top of the house. Same location, looking west, and you watch the sunset. The old house has a new AC/Heating system and renovated bathroom. These features gave you modern comfort along side the charm of old wood floors, stone fireplace and wraparound porch. Easy access to A1A made it simple to get to town. Vacasa was very responsive to questions and proactive on checking to make sure all was well. The road out front was a bit of a concern, but we didn't have a problem. We would love to return.
