It was a very comfortable home. I was grateful for the communication back and forth before and during the stay. We were grateful for a dog friendly place to stay when visiting our family. I will say that it has potential to be a 5 star place to stay at, but it's not quite there yet. Some suggestions would be to have individual hand soaps rather than just one big refill of soap in one bathroom. Mats at the doors or area rugs, photos in the rooms and at eye level, just stuff to warm the place up a bit. Some of the light switches didn't work for ceiling lights, but we were able to turn it on from the light/fan fixture. No wifi or dvd player (they did warn me there was no wifi), but they had a nice tv in the living room. It looks like it was getting work done on it, so I'm sure it will continue to improve. We would definitely stay here again. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. I will say once I mentioned there wasn't a shovel (crazy snowfall for Thanksgiving time in Iowa) they had someone come by early the next morning to shovel the driveway and walkway, which was very nice. All in all we enjoyed it and the owner was very responsive and easy to work with.
