Everything about this place was top drawer: well appointed, perfectly comfortable and wonderfully equipped. We stayed at Redtail Cottage for our Thanksgiving getaway and it was beyond our expectations, and so charming! The hosts were responsive and generous right from the start, and helped us immediately with an internet glitch during our stay, We could not have been happier! The kitchen is first rate and the living room so cozy with the fireplace and all the great books, fantastic art and games. This is a place to sink in and enjoy.

The house was nice and had all the amenities needed for a long weekend stay. Clean and comfortable sleeping accommodations. We used the king bed and pullout sofa. Conveniently located to a few local restaurants and coffee shop. Close to park entrance.

Comfortable bed and roomy cabin and very quiet. The location was great for visiting the Sequoias, maybe a 10 min drive to the gate. Well stocked kitchen and cabin. Everything you need for your stay. It was nice and cool inside when we arrived. Quick response from our hosts whenever we had a question. There we no sidewalks to walk around the town at night, but this is true of the whole town of Three Rivers as far as I could tell. We had a great stay. I would not hesitate to stay again. The destination charger was great to have!!!

Beautiful Cottage with Privacy & lots of extras

This property & host is a PERFECT example of what a premier host & property expectation is. I LOVED they had spices in the cabinet, condiments in the fridge so we didn't have to buy them, plenty of coffee & a great selection of teas, as well as many other extras you won't find in most VRBOs. Laundry area came in handy to use while there. They even had a cooler & plenty of ice packs (perfect for our days in the parks). Extra pillows, blankets, even toiletry items in the bathroom in case you forgot something. The water was instant hot, which was great. Shampoo & conditioner were top brand & fantastic. The King bed was so comfy, & you could shut blind on door so it was dark so you could sleep late if wanted. A very quiet property off the main road on a side road, so no road noise, no noisy neighbors, just nature and peace. I loved that the bedroom had thick plush carpet, was nice for your feet to land on instead of a cold floor, and it made the bedroom even cozier. Beautiful prints & decor in the entire cottage. There is nothing bad or negative about this property or the host. They truly went out of their way to make it as comfy and homey as possible for their guests, and it shows that they care. Excellent floor plan layout w/lots of room! I would DEFINITELY stay here again if back in this area. Was close to restaurants, and close to the park, but not so close that you had traffic. Thank you for making your cottage so comfortable and inviting that we didn't want to leave!

A Great Stay for Visiting Sequoia

We enjoyed our stay here in Three Rivers. The cottage was as described - clean, cozy, and well stocked with any item one could possibly need. The location was peaceful and close to Sequoia NP. Communication with the owners was easy, and information was readily available in a provided binder. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Great Stay in Three Rivers near Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park

Great little cottage in Three Rivers near Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. We were10 minutes away from the Sequoia entrance. The town had a few cute restaurants and great coffee shops as well as a fantastic frozen yogurt place. Linda and Tom provided everything we needed and were gracious host. My wife and I would highly recommend this place for your stay.

Awesome home away from home

This is one special property with master hosts that have thought of everything and created a welcoming space for travelers. Quiet, secluded, convenient to Sequoia National Park and the lake/river. Appliances, equipment, IT is topnotch and all in excellent condition and operation. Everything you need to cook including pantry items and spices. Washer & dryer with laundry supplies! A diverse collection of books & magazines with a lovely deck for relaxing and reading surrounded by the songs of quail, redtail hawks, and lots of other happy birds. When you book this cottage make sure you add in a couple of down days so you can enjoy the cottage itself! As with most small remote towns across America, expect to pay more if you shop in the local market - well supplied but pricey. Easy access to restaurants if you want someone else to do the cooking. Hosts provide information and maps about the local area and history. This property is even better than the listing describes - we are trying to figure out a reason to come back! Quiet home in the foothills

Linda and Tom provide this cute cottage with an array of amenities, maybe the best we’ve seen in a VRBO. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage was sparkling clean, the bed super comfortable. The washer/dryer a big plus. A cute deck to enjoy the scenery and quiet of the mountains

Fantastic cabin right next to Sequoia National Park

We stayed in the cabin for three nights, and found it to be a fantastic place to stay. The cabin was clean and comfy. It was well equipped with everything that you could want for your stay. And it's located within a few miles of Sequoia National Park, so you can easily go hiking and exploring every day during your stay. The owners were super, and made sure we had a great time. This is definitely the place that we'll stay during our next trip to Sequoia.

Perfectly cozy!

This was the perfect place for us to stay in order to visit Sequoia National Park. After being out all day, it was nice to come back to this cute cottage and relax in front of the fireplace. We had everything we needed to cook in the well stocked kitchen and the surrounding area was quiet. We enjoyed the local historical museum and restaurants and brewery. I would like to visit again because we couldn't see the whole park due to snow. Thank you Linda and Tom!

Wonderful Cottage near Sequoia

If you are planning to visit Sequoia and would like to stay near the Foothills Visitor center (Three Rivers), then this is an excellent choice. Cottage was well equipped and very peaceful. Communication with the host was great. Really enjoyed our stay!

I am a retired house designer and have lived in Three Rivers since 1986. We built Redtail Cottage in 2009 as a guest house for our parents who lived there until 2017. After a transformation in 2019 to a premier vacation rental Redtail Cottage is available to VRBO guests seeking an exceptional home base for hiking Sequoia National Park.

I am a California native growing up in Long Beach/Lakewood. I studied at UC Berkeley and UC Irvine where I earned a bachelors degree in Social Science before attending graduate school in business at UC Irvine. I love art and travel and my two vacation rentals reflect that.

Three Rivers is a small village with friendly people situated at the entrance to Sequoia National Park.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Guests tell of breakfasts on the private deck while watching quail families and bunnies romp on the private road; and dinners watching the sunset after grilling on the front porch just outside of the kitchen door. The Cal-King bed is wonderfully comfortable and the high end linens and black out curtains guarantee a fabulous rest after long hikes in the National Park. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, full size frig, dishwasher, coffee/tea service area and all the expected accessories with helpful spice selections. There are two AC/heat units on separate thermostats and even your own private washer and dryer with all the supplies. There is a darling English replica propane fireplace, two smart tvs and even a Tesla series 2 EV charger (TeslaTap adaptor is in the cupboard for universal charging). The free wi-fi is yours alone so you can download and share your pictures with friends and sign into your video accounts. The cell service is also good so work or play Redtail Cottage offers you all the comforts of a well designed one bedroom/one bath separate home in 740 square feet.
