Our family rented this home for a week-long stay in late July 2018. There were seven of us (5 adults and 2 children), along with three dogs. We had a terrific stay, despite less than ideal weather for most of the week. For starters, the owners are very nice --- they were helpful with questions we had prior to our arrival, greeted us when we arrived and oriented us to the property and amenities, and were readily available to answer questions and address issues that arose during our stay. They also prepared a binder of information lots of details about the house and surrounding area, which was extremely helpful. The home and property are lovely. The cottage sits on two acres with a long waterfront on the Wye River - very tranquil, minimal boat traffic, and amazing sunsets. The property is fenced (except for along the waterfront) with a gate at the entrance. We kept the gate closed so that our dogs had the run of the entire two acres, which was fantastic. We didn't have to leash them the entire time we were there. The property also has ample parking (we had 4 vehicles and a trailer), a spacious garage, and a private dock, so we were able to bring our boat and keep it docked at the house. The closest launch to this property is Wye Landing, which was about a 45 minute boat ride away for our little fishing/crabbing boat going ~20 mph. A closer launch would have been more convenient, but the ride wasn't bad. The water was plenty deep to run the boat, even at low tide. Lots of amenities outside, including a fire pit, patio with gas and charcoal grills, two kayaks and two paddle boards. We took advantage of all of these. Inside, the home is spacious and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and a screened porch off the back. The owners allowed us to use their wide array of spices, which was great. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, and the on-demand hot water was a nice amenity, given that there were seven of us.
Overall, we were very pleased and would consider renting again.
