Experienced Hatteras Island vacationers always look forward to returning to Breakwater and the sea. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this kinetic oceanfront home achieves a fresh perspective without equal. Although outfitted for fine living, the décor is fun and welcoming with contemporary art, metal railings in turquoise, and bleached juniper. Full-length living room windows frame mesmerizing ocean views or can be enjoyed while dining on the furnished sun deck with steps down to the grill and beach walkway. The multilevel design features one main bedroom on the bottom level, two bedrooms, and a bathroom/shower on the first floor with a laundry room. The first floor boasts a full bathroom with a shower. Step up just a half flight to the sunny living area with an entertainment center and soaring ceilings. The third level overlooks the living room and features a dine-in kitchen to delight culinary aficionados. The main bedroom offers a TV, shower, and a small shaded deck with a built-in bench. Topside, a neat loft with a dormer window will attract the kids. After a day of fishing, you can utilize the fish cleaning table, followed by an outdoor shower to wash up after a fun-filled day at the beach. As the sun sets, gather on the deck for a quick pool game on the outdoor pool table!

All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted inside the home.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Community Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather.

We loved the house and the location and how close it was to the beach. It was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying our time in the Outer Banks.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Please know the pests encountered were not roaches, but palmetto bugs. Unfortunately, these critters are common in humid areas, especially after heavy rains. Their presence is natural and does not reflect on the cleanliness of the home. Our reservation notes show additional pest prevention was completed at your request and we are pleased we were able to accommodate. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

Wanted to love this place but to many issues unresolved

We first walked in the house and it smelled like dog pee everywhere. A man came out and cleaned some of it but said it was to saturated he would have to come back after we leave. It smelt like pee the entire time. We also had roaches on the bottom floor bathroom and mold in the upstairs bathroom. I reached out but no assistance was given I feel like a discount or something would have been nice. I would never return. I have pictures of everything.

Bare minimum vacation house

If the bare minimum was a vacation house. You’re probably looking to book it for the same reason we did, it’s on the beach and it’ll work fine for that. Just don’t expect absolutely anything beyond the absolute minimum, which works, but It’s just nice to know what you’re getting. Salt and pepper? Sugar? Coffee filters? Any water pressure in the shower or any sink? Blanket for the couch? Pizza cutter? Updated anything? Comfy beds or pillows? All no. Anything that would make staying at a vacation house feel comfortable or like home won’t be found here. But the beach is lovely. Also not great for kids. We have two, the layout is tricky and the amount of scary railings was rough. But we were in a bind with options and I’m assuming you are too if you’re looking to book.
