A wonderful property with beach access within a couple hundred feet. A truly unforgettable experience with our family at an uncrowded no frills location on the Outer Banks. We would love to come back sometime soon!

We had a great visit and the house was what we needed. It was so close to the ocean and the 3 of us fished as much as possible. The owner was very easy to contact and the communication was timely and informative. I have to mention how much we appreciate it being pet friendly.

Nice house, great location. We went to the beach a lot during our stay. The direct beach access was very useful, especially for our dog. She had a blast running to and from the beach. This house was close to shops and restaurants. Great communication from the host.

Other than a slight technical difficulty when checking-in everything was perfect. Craig was responsive and resolved the technical issue quickly. The house was clean, the amenities were very nice, and the location was awesome. As a bonus, the light pollution was very low on the beach within walking distance, so stargazing was fantastic.

Nice house with good location. We were stuck on the island due to a nor easter washing out the only highway in or out. Craig was exceptional at communicating with me. Recommend this home

It was a very cozy and relaxing stay! We really enjoyed the close access to the beach and the cute store/restaurants nearby. The house is beautifully remodeled, and we were very comfortable in it. Our labs loved it, especially the floors which didn’t have wall to wall carpeting. Easy to keep clean as well.Craig was very responsive and helpful which we also truly appreciated.

Craig's place was, by far, one of the best places we've found in our decades of visiting the Outer Banks! The remodel was well done, and the house was extremely clean. The distance to the beach is excellent and the fact that the deck is new was a welcome change of pace. Also, for the first time, we were actually able to drink the water dispensed from the fridge! It was really nice not having to worry about buying jugs of water. If you have a smaller group, don't hesitate to check our Craig's place!

Beautiful home with quick access to the beach. This spot is a real gem! The remodeled portion is gorgeous and tastefully decorated. The house felt clean and well cared for and had everything that we needed. There is a nice deck with cool tall chairs and tables to enjoy. The mature privacy landscaping allows you to be outside with the pups without many distractions. The location is perfect if you want to be further out from the crowds but still have access to restaurants, shopping, and exploring. This is the place you want to book! The owner, Craig, is quick to respond and very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time at this property and would love to go back!

Originally from the Midwest, I am a nature lover at heart. Moving to the South over a decade ago, I instantly fell in love with the beach. There was just something about the salt air, the sound of the waves, the sand between your toes, and the amazing seafood that just lowers one's blood pressure and allows you to escape the daily grind. It became our dream to one day find a beach house for both our family for others to enjoy.

Frankly, I host for two reasons - to help pay the houses mortgage (let's be honest) and I really, really like to provide other families the opportunity to create memories and enjoy the beach like we do.

The Outer Banks (OBX) has a great deal to offer. There are near endless outdoor activities, restaurants, and a rich, interesting history. The northern OBX (Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Duck) is very well known and much more developed. You can find all the typical tourist essentials - shopping, chain restaurants, various grocery stores, etc...

Hatteras Island encompasses the southern OBX (Rodanthe, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Hatteras Village). This island is much less developed and full of natural beauty. The atmosphere is more rustic and laid back, with a focus on water sports, fishing, and other outdoor activities. It is these qualities which drew us to the Hatteras Colony neighborhood in the village of Salvo.

To our family, there is no better way to unplug and relax than to be outside enjoying nature and each other's company. And being just steps from an uncrowded, natural beach just adds to the experience. We love this location and we hope you will too!

この宿泊施設の特徴

Tired of looking for an oceanfront house in a beach community and only finding monstrous, 6+ bedroom homes that cost a small fortune to rent for a week? We were too, which is why we made a concerted effort to find a small, oceanfront beach box that could accommodate just your family at a reasonable cost. No coordination with the schedules of three other families - just your family, on the sand, hanging out.

Let's face it, historic beach boxes, like Sunrise Surfer, traditionally are not much to look at (think endless wood paneling!). Fear not! We have recently renovated this home with a brand new deck, reimagined/updated great room, and fully updated kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, and all new stainless steel appliances. Stay tuned for even more improvements coming soon.
