New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Confucius says, 'It is the happy Outer Banks vacationer that begins his vacation at Journey's End.' This southern Kinnakeet Shores ocean view location is perfectly positioned to provide beautiful ocean and sunset views and is very close to the subdivision's ocean access boardwalk. Featuring many new renovations with your comfort in mind, this getaway boasts new full baths upgraded for 2024, appliances including a brand-new washer/dryer, new TVs and sound system, new deck railings and ample deck furniture, new stairs leading to the deck, and a screened porch that used to house the hot tub.

The first level of this reverse floor plan home has four large bedrooms, two baths, and a convenient laundry area. A brand-new hot tub deck awaits as well to assist in soaking in bliss each evening. Upstairs the great room with its high ceilings and ample glass has room for all. The kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, and wet bar are designed and equipped for entertaining. Plus, a new dishwasher, bar refrigerator, new coffee maker and Keurig, and walk-in pantry will assist even more with whipping up tasty meals. A half bath and attached TV/reading room will keep all ages happy. Arrive at your Journey's End.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Things to Know
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

Beautiful ocean views

The house was plenty of room for my family and so close to the beach that we could come and go as we needed. Great place to stay!

Great vacation house for families!

This house was perfect for our family of 7! It was a short 3 minute walk to the beach and is super close to a grocery store and some other shops. Loved the location.

Friends Getaway

Journey's End was a fantastic place for my friends and I to spend a week in Avon. The kitchen was well equipped, the house was clean, the hot tub and outside shower were nice. The only problem we had was with the WiFi but that was immediately taken care of by Vacasa. I would stay there again.

Very nice and clean house!

Enjoyed our week at Journeys End! Nicely decorated to make you feel at home right away. Lots of room for the family to spread out, especially loved the screened in porch. Close to beach access, couldn't have asked for more!

Lovely Home

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect - close the the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants. The home was lovely and comfortable. We wish the two master suites didn't share a jack and jill bathroom and that beach towels were provided, but otherwise we really liked the house.

Hi Russell, we are truly sorry that your week at our home did not meet your expectations. We understand how special a beach vacation is and regret that your experience fell short. Our management team responded to your concerns during your stay and confirmed that the showers and hot water were functioning. We also visited the property the day after your departure and found all three showers working as expected. Both air conditioning units are only three years old and were cooling the home properly during our visit, and we had our HVAC company inspect them to ensure everything was in good working order. Cleanliness is very important to us, and we have shared your comments with our housekeeping team. We sincerely hope your next visit to the Outer Banks brings the relaxation and joy you were looking for. Again, our sincere apologies that your beach vacation was not what you expected, and our best wishes for your future vacations.

Good location, good bed layout!

We have enjoyed this home for two years now. The bed layout works well for out 6' tall kids when so many other places have bunks and singles that r uncomfortable to them. The home could use some general updates but we really love the deck furniture, stocked kitchen, good AC / washer dryer and bar / table spaces. Hope the price doesn't go way up w new owners since the home is in the market now!

Spacious and Great Location!

The house looked spacious in pictures but somehow was even more spacious when we arrived! We loved the little TV room off of the living room upstairs; it was perfect for the kids to watch something different than the adults or to go watch TV when others were chatting it up in the big living room. Plenty of room for our group. Lots of puzzles, games, books provided. Is a quick walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded and was very peaceful and private. Loved being able to see the sunset and sunrise from the windows. The back deck was my favorite spot in the house! Would absolutely return.

Relaxing

We did enjoyed the simple, convenient, relaxing area. Access to the beach was convenient, but there is no way to access the beach in walking distance without using steps.Which with a two year old is key information. The private hot tub is nice but there is no bug lights or citronella candles provided so at night the mosquito was unbearable.

Excellent Location

Great views conveniently located in the heart of AVON close to shopping and dining. Hot tub worked perfectly amazing views of the ocean and just 1 block walk to beach access. Everything was as described and spot on. Cleanliness would have been a 5 but when we arrived there were greasy handprints on the sliding glass door to the top porch and 2 dirty frying pans above the oven hood. ( previous tenants) I clean rental property as a side job I know how stressful housekeeping can be and trying to be prepared for a back to back rental. Overall very pleased with rental,process, and location.

Great location but......

Location is great close to beach, shopping the bay. The location appeared fairly clean but it appears some of us have been bitten by bugs (doctor believes bed bugs). None of use had them so we didn’t bring them and we washed and sterilized everything once we received word. We attempted to contact the property managers left message with customer service but haven’t received any feedback yet to see if they investigated further so we can be 100 percent certain and hopefully the next guests don’t have this issue.
