With vast bodies of water in either direction, this oceanside retreat is the perfect escape to take your friends and loved ones to get away from the humdrum of everyday life. Whether you're lounging on the beach or finding tranquility in the quaint nearby town, you'll make memories that you'll cherish for a lifetime. Spend your days fishing at the Avon Pier, touring the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, or taking in some culture by experiencing the Pea Island Art Gallery. Stroll around the nautical town of Avon by discovering local eateries, shops, trails, and family-friendly attractions.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a cozy interior and an airy atmosphere throughout the space. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on comfortable furniture, watching movies on the TV, or curling up with a fantastic vacation read while listening to the ocean waves in the distance. Hobby chefs will love preparing grand meals and beach picnic snacks in the kitchenette, equipped with a refrigerator, a stovetop oven range, and a microwave. Great Location!

The location of the property was great. The description of amenities didn't include the stove/oven. It was listed as a kitchenette with no pictures. When there were guests on the floor above it was very loud with their footsteps. The access code was very long: 10 digits. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked really well.

Great dog friendly find

The house has everything you need for your staying, would prefer a gas bbq. The yard fence in is a great find for those dogs owner and with little kids. Two blocks away from the beach great location everything with in 5 minutes or less drive.

OBX Vacation

Everything about our stay was excellent and the only thing we did not have was towels that were avaliable for us. I loved how close to the ocean we were walking distance and how close we were to the restaurants in Avon NC around the town.

Clean and in a quiet location

We loved staying in the National Seashore area and not in the busy commercial areas. This condo was very clean, but definitely could use some updates (worn out blinds were our biggest issue.) House is an hour to Kitty Hawk and 30 minutes or so to the ferry at Hatteras. The beach just to north of Avon is gorgeous. So quite and beautiful.

More attention to the property

The floor was dirty, a nail came out in the hallway, my son hurt his foot, but the rest was very good, clean blankets and towels, the area was very accessible, the team responded and gave very quick attention to everything else. Very good

Would Be Awesome with Some Attention

The property was basically clean, but is showing its age and need of renovation. The floors were creaky and the fixtures and cabinetry was old. The area rug in the dining area was pretty dirty and turned up on the edges causing a tripping hazmats. The Adirondack chair on the deck is about ready to collapse. We did manage to enjoy our stay, since we mostly went there to sleep. Bathroom and bedrooms were fine.

Needs some improvement

I cant believe there is no washer and dryer in this house especially when there is no place to wash clothes in or around town, furniture is old, hard and dirty, the bed mattress is old yellow and filled with pee staines, theres nails sticking out of the floor.

Avon, Obx.

Communication with the company, Vacasa, was fine and they got back to me within a reasonable amount of time but the property was not up to par. First off, the faucet for the kitchen sink and shower were broken. The floor was rotting and collapsing. There were nail sticking out in the house and on the balcony. The chair on the balcony were falling apart. The blinds in the one bedroom were broken.

Pretty good but some issues

It was very clean and conveniently located. Also it had most of the amenities you would want and nice porch. However, there were no window curtains in the bedrooms. As I was out late, I wanted to sleep in a little but the sun blared in through the broken blinds and made that impossible. Additionally, the people staying above us were walking around constantly and talking very early in the morning and you could hear everything. The ceilings/floors must be paper thin. This also kept me from getting the rest I was hoping for.

Back up house gone wrong

Our situation was definitely an interesting experience. Our original house was cancelled due to a water leak which prompted us staying at this house. While we are so grateful that a replacement could be found there was some issues with the fact we were sound side instead of beach side, the house wasn’t cleaned properly, nails sticking up out of the floor and almost cutting out 4year olds foot, wear/tear and damage, roaches, and there was no dishwasher or washer/dryer. All of these things played into making our trip extremely stressful as we have a 4 year old and if you have a young child you know accidents happen and washers are a must. These were also amenities we had picked with our first house. Roaches and the popped up nail are health hazards. They said they would be sending out someone to respray the roaches they did not come while we were there but didn’t mean it didn’t happen. The beach proximity was unfortunate because we purposely chose something within walking distance because my husband is a disabled veteran. We were told 2 hours out about the cancellation and while I could “review” the house we were literally driving and I had to make a decision on if we would have a house or not. The house wasn’t cleaned properly not at all what we were expecting and we were disappointed. We were then told the property manager would come out and discuss compensation with us multiple times and we never met them once. Only the housekeepers who recleaned and delightful maintenance man who fixed the floor and sink. If you are aware of these things going into renting this house/suite then great but for it to not match up to your original housing expectations then be prepared.
