Thomas Cottage: Enjoy easy coast living at this beach cottage with a lovely view of the ocean!

The 'Thomas Cottage' is built for relaxation, which means guests can enjoy helpful amenities like central air-conditioning no matter the time of year. After some time on the sand, come back to easily spritz yourself clean with the outdoor shower (with both hot and cold water available). You'll love cooling off in the private pool after a fun outdoor hike. Enjoy the ocean breeze while sitting on the seats of the private deck just steps from the beach, then head inside to enjoy a movie night with friends. Guests will have access to a private washer/dryer, a lovely dining area and room to sit at the kitchen island, and free WiFi. Other amenities include a private driveway.

THINGS TO KNOW:
The pool can be heated from November - April. $85/day add on fee. Call the office to add on.

Great getaway!

Great street very quiet. The house was exactly what we needed for a family getaway. My only concern was the railing upstairs in the house it is very short and made me nervous that it would be easy to fall over for someone who might be unstable. Outside of that it was very charming and I'm thankful the owner allow people to rent it.

Well equipped, comfy, home.

This home is well equipped with everything you will need for food prep to extra bedding. The furniture is comfortable and there is plenty of seating. Our family enjoyed the swing and the sofa sitting area on the lower level of the house. I would stay here again.

Very Welcoming

We loved this home! The neighborhood is great and permanent residents were very friendly. Beach access was a breeze and conveniently located! My father in law had very little problems getting his beach wheelchair out to the surf! Looking to book again in the future!

Perfect for Girls Trip

The house was just what we wanted, clean, comfortable and close to the beach. You can hear the waves from the porch. We had an issue with the AC called VACASA and they were on it! We've been looking for a go to place for our annual girls trip and I think we've found it!

Great place away from home

House was very well stocked with kitchen supplies. All appliances worked. Just bedroom ceiling fans a tad wiggly. Very clean and comfy beds for a vacation place. Easy beach access and nice quiet family street. Love the screened in porch! Will definitely book again!

The home was comfortable for a party of 8, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The landscaping on the exterior the home in particular was a high point! Screened in porch prevents bugs, and is a nice space to wait out summer storms. Would not hesitate to return.

Nice but needs some help with some issues.

Location was great. Home was very clean upon checkin. But we had some issues with the WiFi, a TV, ice maker and we reported all is them to guest services but received no resolution during our entire stay other than it had been reported to the local team. It was a good value house for the $ but the service we received while we were there, was not great.

Great location--needs cleaning

The location is great, but the property is in dire need of a deep cleaning and routine maintenance. Air conditioning wasn't working, dishwasher broke after one use, light bulbs burned out in multiple rooms, sand on furniture, mold in showers, and clutter everywhere! Felt like we were poaching in some strangers home--something I've never felt in a VRBO before. Was managed through Vacasa--staff was nice but manager would not return calls to discuss the issues.

The Wave Dancer -- 114 Sunshine

Overall, this was a nice house that satisfied our needs. We have been coming to Holden Beach for many, many years (35+), so we have stayed in a lot of different houses. This was the first time in this one which was originally rented through Alan Holden before switching to Vacasa. The house was nice with room to move around and be "apart" for each other and the kitchen was well stocked; however, there was NO STORAGE space in the kitchen. All of the cabinets were full of dishes/pots, so you had no place to store your food items. We had to move stuff around and over-stuff cabinets to make space. There was a lot of "stuff" in the house (we refer to it as hodge-podge decorations) on the shelves and tables. While it may be nice for looks, vacationers go for functionality and simplicity. I would rather have the space to put my things instead of having to shuffle it around to make room then move it all back before we left. A few of the ceiling fans only ran on one speed, and the bathrooms have no exhaust fans which we found odd and made for a very stuffy shower. Overall, the house was nice and served us well, but I would prefer the "less is more" approach in some areas.
