Contentment on the Beach is the place for a wonderful family vacation!

Contentment on the Beach is a beautiful home that provided the perfect spot for a wonderful family vacation. The home is well stocked with everything you need for the stay. The pool is the perfect addition for a beach vacation to relax away from the waves. We travelled with children and the pool was just what they needed for a place to play after the fun in the sand. The view is AMAZING! We would book here again no question!

Very nice pool. House is laid out nicely, however it truly needs painted, and power vents in bathrooms. Fairly well stocked except for coffee cups. Ceiling fans need cleaned as well.

“Contentment” sums it up!

Beautiful home on Holden Beach. “Contentment” was just that! The salt water pool was the cherry on top! This spacious home had more than enough room for our family of 10. Gorgeous views, a relaxing space and comfy beds - a perfect week! We will definitely be back!

My family and I LOVED this house! It is the perfect location! It is a very short walkway to the beach and the pool was such a fun addition for the kids (and adults). There are three safety gates outside to the pool and beach and that made our minds rest easy with kids. There is a lot of space and room and the house was clean and “homey”. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to anyone. 10/10!!

Great trip!

This rental was great for our large family, everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The pool was nice for when somebody wanted a break from the sand and salt. The house was clean and comfortable! Beth is a pleasure to deal with and so very nice!!!

All the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Pool was enjoyed by everyone along with the beach front views. House was very clean.

A magical place where you can reset your mind for and watch the dolphins play.

This was our second stay at this home, and it was just as enchanting as we remember. We love the spaciousness of the home, including the wonderful back decks overlooking the beach! We love to relax, read, and dolphin watch here with our family. The kitchen is well stocked and offers a great space for family dinners. This home offers a private pool with plenty of chairs and toys- which were well used by all of us. Impromptu beach walks and shell hunting are inviting as the home is directly the beach. The owners are quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had during our stay. If you want to reset and relax, try a visit!

Beautiful, long weekend at Holden Beach

The cottage is spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Only a short walk over the dunes to the ocean. The view from the first and second floor porches is beautiful. The pool with optional heat is a nice feature. Approximately two miles from the Holden Beach bridge so it is convenient to stores and restaurants. Property owners were very communicative and answered all of our questions promptly.

Beautiful Home w/ Everything & More

We rented “Contentment On the Beach” because it was large enough for our family but it turned out to be the best decision I could have ever made. This turned out to be a pretty rough year for our family for a lot of different reasons. This beautiful home has so much charm and has everything you need for a wonderful time on the beach. Our family was able to relax, recharge, forget all our worries, and have a wonderful time. Everything we needed was right there. And the pool was amazing. I felt like this was my heaven on earth and I honestly didn’t want to leave.

Ahhhh-mazing!

This beautiful home is equipped with every single thing you'll ever need to make your stay spectacular. It has every appliance, every piece of silverware, pans, pots, knives - even kiddie plates/cups/utensils. If you don't feel like cooking on vacation, there are plenty of restaurants within 20 minutes (grocery store is within five minutes) and if that's too much for you just DoorDash! Plenty of seating inside and out, bedrooms are spacious and TV's are everywhere. This home is immaculate and perfectly laid out. What awaits you outside is MORE than a family would ever need on vacation. A lovely sized pool with an outdoor shower for those quick rinses. A shed PACKED with beach chairs, toys for the kids, umbrellas and even a clean off station when you come in from the AMAZING ocean which is right outside your back door. Should you forget to bring a necessity there is a small general store about a half mile away. You have everything you need at Contentment on the Beach.

Family Time at the Beach

We have been vacationing using VRBO for years and by far, Beth has been the most communicative. She answered all of my questions before deciding on Contentment, during and after. The house was beautiful and perfect for our family of six adults and three young ladies. The girls loved going to the beach or swimming in the pool. The adults loved having coffee and wine overlooking the ocean. Even with a little tropical storm (Debby) the time was spent with games or puzzles. We all enjoyed ourselves!

Contentment on the Beach

Contentment on the Beach is an understatement to say the least. My family , daughters, sons in laws and 3 grandchildren just returned from a lovely week in Holden Beach. Coming into this lovely house was like coming home. A beautiful note along with a special seashell ornament was waiting for us on the kitchen counter. I have been to many rentals over the years and I have to say that Beth went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I hope that all her future tenents will have as wonderful a stay as we had. And l don’t want to forget the salt water pool. It was so much fun having water fights with our grandkids. The memories we made are priceless.

Beautiful Experience

This was our family’s first beach house and Holden Beach experience. We’ve always stayed in condos in Myrtle Beach but with 3 babies 6 months and younger, we decided it might be best to try something a little more low key. We are so thankful we did! Contentment On The Beach did not disappoint! The house is BEAUTIFUL! It has EVERYTHING you need and more. Our 4 year old grandson LOVED the pool! And this nana loved all the grandbaby snuggles in the rockers on two different decks. The view was spectacular as well. I can’t say enough good things about the owner, Beth. She sent me numerous emails giving advice on places to eat and things to experience. Thank you, Beth & Bill for sharing your home with us.

We’ve stayed at many beach homes across many beaches. This home was one of the best stocked for kitchen appliances and other home essentials that are needed during your stay. You can tell the owners care about your experience and check in to make sure to have everything you need!

Wonderful place for family and young kids

Holden Beach and this house are the perfect place to stay for a young family! Our baby monitor (Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro) reached all the way from the house to the ocean (literally with our feet in the ocean) which made it easy to enjoy nap time. Our 3 year old loved the pool and the shallow beach front. You get a sunrise and sunset view in October which made for a beautiful morning and evening. There are some great restaurants and ice cream shops in the area, but the kitchen is also well stocked to enjoy meals at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Great Family Vacation Destination

This property was clean and as described. The private access to the ocean was awesome! The kids spent a lot of time in the heated pool. There are a lot of golf courses close by as well as great places to eat. I would recommend this rental property and hope to stay here again.

Great fall break

We had such a great stay. The property is beautiful and right on the beach! It was definitely worth having the pool heated. The beds were comfy and the kitchen very well stocked. I highly recommend staying there and I hope we will again in the future.

Great location. Clean house.

Beth was very courteous and in communication throughout. What's the best kind of service? The one that you don't actually have to call, of course. The house was clean, had good running water, no power issues, the pool was ready for use, there were beach chairs and toys neatly stored in a container in the backyard for use, the kitchen has pots and pans as well as knives, forks, spoons etc. that'll meet most people's needs. We were happy with the home, the easy beach access etc. Would definitely recommend.
