Ideally Located

Upper Manhattan’s leafy Morningside Heights neighborhood is best known as the setting for world-famous Columbia University. Thanks to its huge student population, the neighborhood has a lively bar and restaurant scene, with everything from cheap eats to high-end sushi to Tom’s Restaurant, the inspiration for the diner in Seinfeld. You don’t have to be a student to appreciate the quiet setting of this gorgeous area, where you can wander through beautiful Morningside Park on the eastern border of the neighborhood or Riverside Park on the western edge. Other neighborhood landmarks include the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, a historic place of worship with an altarpiece designed by noted artist Keith Haring. Morningside Heights is only 10 minutes away from Midtown Manhattan via the 1 train, with a change to the express.
