We chose this property to share with nine people. However, six dropped out, so it ended up as a small group of three. Therefore, the property was much more than we needed. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property. In particular, the pool itself and the view of the Atlantic ocean from the pool were stunning, as was the view from the balcony off of the four upstairs bedrooms. The outdoor patio lounging area off of the first floor was well equipped with plenty of outdoor furniture to meet the needs of a large group. The property uses synthetic turf in lieu of grass, which was comfortable under foot and gave the property a lush green appearance. The first floor indoor lounging area was spacious with lots of seating, although the chairs at some of the tables were an art deco hard plastic, which were comfortable enough for dining. The kitchen was well equipped for our small group but for a very large group it probably could use some additional glassware. Due to our small group, we did not use the three ground floor bedrooms or any of the recreational games but the area does not have much natural light. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed but two of the rooms have bath tubs that double as jacuzzis, which have metal hardware on the floor of the tub and can be a little uncomfortable if stepped on. The Luz town center and beach is a very pretty 20 minute walk on a dirt road that sits above cliffs. The beach itself is beautiful.
