Welcome to Cozy Bear Cabin, your family-owned "home base" for the ultimate Brown County experience. We’ve recently upgraded your stay with brand new premium mattresses and high-end linens in every room because we believe a great vacation starts with a perfect night’s sleep.

Whether you're here for Nashville's charm (5 mins away), a Bloomington graduation (15 mins away), or the trails of Brown County State Park (1 mile away), Cozy Bear offers the ultimate blend of rustic heart and modern luxury.

~The Sleep Experience (New!)~
We know you’re here to rest, so we didn't hold back on comfort.

*The King Suite: Our first-floor primary bedroom features a brand new, luxury King-size mattress, an attached full bath, and a door leading directly to the private hot tub.
*Upstairs Retreat: Two additional bedrooms with brand new Queen mattresses and buttery-soft linens.
*Custom Comfort: Both upstairs rooms have their own Mitsubishi climate control, so you can set your perfect sleeping temperature.

As a family-owned business, we personally manage all four of our cabins. We take immense pride in our recent upgrades, cleanliness, and the hospitality we provide to every guest.

~Things to Note~
*The Vibe: Easy access to the main road! While you may hear daytime road noise, it slows down significantly at night for a peaceful rest.
*Fireplace: Seasonal (April – September).
*Firewood: Please bring your own bundles!
Check-in/out: Check-in is at 3pm, and Check-outs are 10am. All times are Eastern

We had a great stay at Cozy Bear cabin for Valentine's Day! Everything was spotless and ready for us when we arrived. Wall plug-ins had the whole place smelling amazing. The outdoor space is beautiful and cozy with the lights. Christy gave detailed instructions for check in/out and left us a beautiful gift from Nashville Fudge Kitchen. Plenty of dishes and pots/pans if you plan to cook like we did. We would love to stay again and bring some friends or family with us!

Brown County has been our family’s 'happy place' for over a century. My husband’s family has owned a cabin here for 100+ years, so we’ve spent our lives making memories in these woods.

Last November, we had the chance to take the torch from another local family and purchase these established cabins. We’re so excited to keep the family-owned tradition alive while putting our own heart into them—upgrading everything from the tech to the mattresses to ensure you get the best sleep in the county. We love hosting because it lets us share the magic of the woods that our family has cherished for generations.

What we love most about this specific spot is the quiet. Even though Nashville is just down the road, this neighborhood feels deeply connected to the woods. We love the large backyards, the mature trees, and the way the morning mist hangs over the hills here. It’s the kind of place where neighbors wave but mostly leave you to your peace. It’s our favorite launching pad for hiking in the State Park or browsing the local art scene.

We personally oversee every update—from the King suite on the main floor to the cozy Queen bedrooms upstairs. We’ve combined the character of an established log cabin with the high-speed fiber internet and premium bedding modern travelers need. When you stay at Cozy Bear, you’re staying in a home that has been intentionally updated to feel like your own private sanctuary.
