Overall, the apartment was nice but is in a terrible area of the city. Although during the trip, one of the guests had a medical emergency and needed medical assistance, but couldn’t leave the apartment until after the checkout time due to his medical issues. We spoke with the host about leaving up to 30 minutes late in the house and said that was OK. After taking our friend to the emergency room, the host reached out about a 200 late checkout fee that was not mentioned before. If they had mentioned the checkout fee, we would have been out of the apartment on time. No one should have to suffer through a medical emergency and get surprise bills on top of their medical bills within the same day.
