Providing visitors with a comfortable stay along with all the conveniences to make this your home away from home is our family’s mission.

We have come to love Saugatuck and consider it a magical place with each season bringing something special to enjoy.

For over 30 years our family has enjoyed the magic of Saugatuck from the Sunsets over the beaches, to the many restaurants and art stores, to the vineyards and orchards, to the dune rides, boat rides, kayaking, biking, hiking, just to name a few joys.

We wanted to have an opportunity to share the many joys that Saugatuck and it’s surrounding communities bring to those lucky enough to visit. The Johnson family undertook restoration of this midcentury cottage row structure now known as the “Saugatuck Cottage Suites,” located on the North end of Saugatuck directly across the street from the walking path to downtown Saugatuck.

We took feedback from many friends and family and provided all the conveniences for those with both an active lifestyle as well as those that want to kick back and relax. Based on feedback we have provided: a secure easy in/out access for people that bring their bikes as each unit has its own attached garage with electric doors; two picnic tables per unit; fully equipped kitchens; strong internet for those of us that need to check in for work or relax and stream some Netflix or check in with Facebook; and convenient walking to restaurants; art stores and down town Saugatuck; as well as two parking spaces per cottage suite so no one has to look for parking when arriving or returning from the beach, vineyards or orchards.

At Saugatuck Cottage Suites you get resort conveniences at small cottage prices. Forget something at home?.. Toothbrush, tooth paste, deodorant, sun tan lotion, coffee, drinks, etc?... Get a run in your nylon or tear in your favorite shorts or pants?.. Or need a band-aid for your scrape or tool for your bike.?.. We got you covered... You can have any of these items in your hand in a couple minutes with no drive. All these items and more are available for you just across the street at our local convenience store (open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day).

Want to work out or run inside on a colder day? No problem. Blue Star Gym is located a short 0.6 miles away. This is just a 12 minute walk on the beautiful walking path across the street. Please contact them for day pass information.

We have a BEAUTIFUL fire pit with wood provided and ready for your enjoyment.

Your cottage is close to downtown Saugatuck. Enjoy a stroll on the beautiful walking path across the street. It's a one mile walk or couple minutes by car. Enjoy the great food, restaurants and shops of Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, and Holland.

Dune Buggy Rides are close too.

Saugatuck Dunes State park is ONLY 5 minutes away by car where you can go Hiking, Cross-Country Skiing, Enjoy beach trails, or any other of their 13 miles of incredible nature trails... Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall there is something for you to enjoy just a short walk or few minutes ride from Saugatuck Cottage Suites.

All seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

Strong WiFi is provided for all our guests to keep up with face book, stream their favorite movie, or check emails.
