Exactly What We Needed
First of all, the spacious place was very clean and well-designed to help tenants keep it that way—with a “mud room” downstairs, a bench, boot mats, coat hooks, etc. It was easy to keep all the winter gear out of the way from the rest of the condo, so we never felt cluttered or concerned about keeping the place as clean as we found it.
Second, the setup is just really nice. The bedrooms—each with a full bath—are all downstairs, where there is little light. Upstairs is the living room, kitchen, and dining area--brightly lit during the day. We had plenty of space to sit when lounging and eating. There is also a washing machine and dryer (both a bit loud, but the convenience made it worth it) behind the kitchen and an extra 1/2 bath. The fireplace was safe and kept us warm.
Third, the place is ideally located next to a shuttle stop--like open the door, and there it is. We never used it because we had a car, but it was nice to know that if we could if we needed it. The condo is also just 15 minutes from Winter Park--super convenient. The grocery store is only about a mile away, too.
Bonus: The owners were really amazingly fast with responses to texts. All our questions—very few about the place because the place is really easy to use—were answered within minutes. There was a brief power outage in the area due to a winter storm, and the owners were quick to respond with information about what was happening and when it would be resolved. They were also very generous with towels and linens. (We have stayed at places that barely had enough sets for all of us much less extras—not the case here.)
We would gladly stay there again on a future trip!
