The Space:

Nestled in the small oceanside town of Netarts, Junebug Cottage offers a cozy perch for PNW adventure! Close to a variety of other great towns, Oceanside is just up the road and Tillamook is a little inland. Nearby attractions you'll want to add to your itinerary include the Oceanside Beach State Recreation Site, Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint, Blue Heron French Cheese Company, and the Tillamook Creamery. In Netarts, Oceanside, and Tillamook there is a great mix of restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries.



Back at Junebug Cottage, continue to enjoy serene ocean views from the large front windows. Modernly updated and cooled by central air, you'll fall into effortless comfort from the moment you walk through the front door. While visiting with your loved ones, sit back and stream your favorite shows on the large smart TV, or cook amidst the well-stocked kitchen's stainless steel appliances. The quaint bedrooms are both lined with inviting colors and soft linens. Additional interior amenities include a fireplace and board game collection.



As the sun begins to set over the ocean, head outside and fire up the gas grill amidst the sky's orange, yellow, and pink hues.

Gorgeous gorgeous view! There is a trail to the beach right across the street and we enjoyed clamming while the tide was out. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect for us to visit Tunnel Beach, Cape Meares, Tillamook, and Munson Creek Falls. It's also close to The Schooner Restaurant where we had the most amazing meal! Our stay was 10/10

Terrific location near all the fun stuff

Cute little place right on the bay. The views are terrific, and so relaxing to be able to hear the ocean at night. It was really fun to walk down to the beach in the mornings and watch the clammers and crabbers. The house had everything we needed for meal prep. They've made good use of the limited space. Note that it's a jack and jill bathroom, just use caution not to lock each other out :) There's a covenience store within walking distance, and Cape Meares Lighthouse, Cape Lookout, Oceanside Beach, Jacobsen Sea Salt, and Tillamook Creamery are a short drive.

The cottage was perfectly located and very clean. We could see the ocean and storms easily. However, the sleeping was difficult as each of the small bedrooms had a queen bed that touched two walls, making it impossible to use restroom without crawling over the other person and waking them up, so we slept separately. Kitchen supplies were sparse - no dish drainer for dishes after washing them, and only two towels, etc. Ran out of propane mid-BBQ. TV was complicated. Though it was as cute as could be, it didn't function well. Bottom line, form and function make a nice experience, and this cottage is mostly form.

Very cute but needs some work

Great views from the front window and has really close beach access. The stairs leading down to the beach are pretty steep and uneven but should be fine for most people. The chairs out front are great for getting some sun. The cottage is cute but doesn’t look like it has been professionally cleaned in a long time and some things need to be replaced. The gray chair in the living room had a noticeable stain and it was clear the cushion was upside down. When I went to flip the cushion over there was an even larger stain on the other side. One of the decorative pillows on a bed also had a very noticeable stain. The sheets and extra comforter looked like they need to be replaced pretty soon. The bathroom is one of the main reasons I wouldn’t rent this place again. It’s a jack and Jill bathroom which I expected, but the doors are sliding barn doors and there were a few times when we thought they were fully closed but other people could see in. You can hear EVERYTHING from anywhere inside the house. The shower is pretty short a narrow (I’m 5’7 and barely fit under the water) and has yellowing in a few spots. The shower head does come off so taller people can easily use it.

This was the perfect place for me and my mother when we traveled to see the Oregon Coast. My mother is in her 80s with limited mobility but she was able to see the beach from the big front windows and was able to sit outside to listen to the waves and watch the sunset from the front lawn. I was able to navigate my way down to the beach access steps (as others mentioned, they are quite steep) several times to enjoy the beach and the sunsets from there. We also did a day trip up to Cannon Beach and Ecola state parks, both were beautiful! Another day we visited 2 capes of the “Three Capes Scenic Loop” which are VERY close to this property, we really loved Cape Meares (lighthouse/3 arches/octopus tree). I read other reviews which described the bathroom as small not having much privacy between rooms which is true but wasn’t an issue for us and the shower was perfect for us since my mother has difficulty stepping into a bathtub. The property is as depicted in pictures and the owners were responsive. We loved our stay and would definitely stay at this property again.
