Wonderful Stay!

We stayed at the Observatory over Super Bowl weekend and had a wonderful experience. The property was beautiful, clean, well appointed and the views were gorgeous. We will definitely be coming back!

Amazing holidays!!!!!

We went for Christmas and New Year. The house is beautiful, and has everything you need. My only suggestion would be to put something on the stairs, if you are not wearing shoes and only socks, they can be slippery.

Wonderful

We absolutely loved our stay at the Observatory. It was the perfect escape for our family of five. The house was exactly as described and very clean. Location was perfect for us - peaceful and away from the busy-ness of Breck but still close enough to be convenient to restaurants, gondola etc. The neighborhood and surrounding area were great for morning runs. The only comment I would add for future guests is to consider bringing your own blankets/comforters. The beds had sheets and light blankets but nothing heavier - perhaps because of COVID19 cleaning standards. We did get a bit cold at night. Overall, this was one of our favorite places to stay in Breck - we hope to be back!

Beautiful House, Poor Management, No Maintenance

One of the rooms did not have heat turned on so we could not use the room since radiant heating takes hours to bring the temperature up. Management company had staffing issues and did not get back to us until it was too late. Found dead animal inside fireplace. WiFi issues that did not get resolved until the next day so we couldn’t connect our baby monitor. For an expensive, nice house, sheets didn’t fit the bed, linens were stained and cheap, dishwasher needed maintenance, most of the kitchen tools were cheap and worn. Management company said they would contact me to discuss the issues but never did.

Christmas in Breckinridge

I normally don’t review anything whether it’s good or bad, but this property is amazing. Not only is the house beautiful, there isn’t a house right next to you. The house has great views from every room and had plenty of floor space for our grandchildren to play. Three moose showed up one morning to visit us. We would definitely rent this property again. It was a wonderful Christmas setting.

House was gorgeous! The home has 1 Tv only which has good points and bad . ( did provided board games ) The home was pretty clean but needed a little bit more as window seals had bugs in them Toilets had rings ~~~ not the end of the world but ! Our biggest complaints probably would be the lack of maintenance on items in the house and outside too pretty of a place to not have the little things working and gather that maintenance man was well aware of it..... On the other side of it we literally did not have to buy the soap toilet paper paper towels the home came with a great amount of all those items greatly appreciated the home is gorgeous would stay there again!

Beautiful house. No hot water. No call back.

The house was gorgeous... almost too much space. There was a beautiful sunset view. Everything was great, but we had no hot water. Ice cold showers... not able to clean via the dishwasher. No call back after leaving two voicemails to the office as if they no longer cared since we were leaving. Will probably not use this lodging company again with all the other options out there.

Does not sleep 12, Dirty Toilets

This house was beautiful however it does NOT sleep 12 people. It only sleeps 9 adults, does not offer rollaway beds nor a full size futon as described in the listing. I contacted Great Western Lodging and after multiple phone calls in which they first told me there was nothing they could do (they argued with me that the house had pull out couches, which it did not), they then told me they could only provide 2 air mattresses which was extremely uncomfortable. When I checked out I asked to speak with a manager and was rudely told that I would need to contact VRBO for any kind of refund. The toilets all had a ring around them and were not clean. The management company has not responded to multiple messages that I've sent since we checked out. We were very disappointed in this rental as we had a large group and the house simply didn't accommodate what was described on the listing in addition to not being very clean.

Great weekend for NYE with friends

This was a great rental. Very spacious, lots of kitchen items, and towels for hot tub etc. Very very clean, and all went smoothly. The only thing that was inaccurate was that the listing claimed there was a rollaway bed which we could not seem to find, and we counted on this for our total head count.

Observatory Stay

Our stay was great, the only misleading part was that it doesnt quite sleep 12 unless two people are on the couch, so less beds than expected even though we didnt have 12 so it was fine. Overall stay was great.
