We traveled to Arcata for my youngest son's wedding. We came with our other 3 children, spouses and 5 grandchildren. This house worked perfect for us. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The kids all enjoyed the game room!

This place is SO cool! We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is beautiful and it was clean and the perfect size for a large group. Everyone said this was the best rental we’ve ever had. I would absolutely recommend this spot and book it again!

Definitely family friendly. Beautiful old home. Kitchen has been updated and minimally stocked. Fair amount of dishes, glasses, and utensils. Bathrooms are small, but adequate and clean. Bedrooms are spacious and clean. Location is downtown, across 101 from the University, blocks from the Plaza, 1 block from Wildberries Marketplace and Safeway is close by car.

First thing I was not sent access information and had to contact the host for access code. There were no paper towels which he said he would bring some over and never did. There was no sponge or scrubby to wash dishes. The ice machine in the refrigerator wasn’t working. The hot tub wasn’t working which was a big disappointment because it was one of the reasons we chose this house. The window coverings were no more than shears so if you’re looking to sleep in or have any kind of privacy, that’s not likely to happen. The upstairs bathroom on the second floor the toilet stopped working in the night and also when it was working if you didn’t jiggle the handle, it would continue to run and the way I found out was while I was in the kitchen cooking. I started getting drips of water from upstairs and when I ran up to see what the problem was, it was from the running toilet. The bathroom wasn’t flooded so I didn’t know really what to do, but you better make sure you jiggle the handle. Obviously there are multiple staircases being that it’s an eight bedroom house but a couple of the stair wells didn’t have proper safety rails, and my six-year-old grandson fell down the stairs in two different times and two different locations. Luckily, he wasn’t seriously hurt, a few bumps and bruises. The place seemed clean. The beds were comfortable, but there were definitely some things that could be improved. With the issues listed above we definitely should receive a partial refund.
