The main level includes a powder room and a large laundry/mudroom that guests have access too.

Climb the rustic open staircase to the second level, where mountain views continue to unfold from the walkway and each bedroom. To the right, you’ll find the Mountain Mist Room, decorated in calming blue and green tones that echo the peaceful morning mist of the Appalachian Mountains.

This room features a queen bed with a firm mattress dressed in soft, luxury-feel sheets, plush carpet underfoot, a ceiling fan for added comfort, a dresser, a closet, and a built-in reading nook—perfect for settling in with a good book.

Across the hall, the Greenbrier Room pays homage to the iconic resort that helped define the Greenbrier Valley’s charm. This inviting space includes a king bed with a soft mattress topped with indulgently smooth, luxury-feel sheets, plush carpet, a ceiling fan, a standing desk overlooking the mountain vista, and a built-in bench ideal for reading or relaxing. Guests will find charging ports incorporated in the lamps, and also charging access in the nightstands.

Conveniently located between the two bedrooms is a full bathroom with a granite countertop and a shower/tub combination. For added comfort, the bathroom is stocked with a hair dryer and complimentary toiletries.

House Rules — Sunset Ridge Retreat

We hope you fall in love with this cozy, peaceful retreat atop the Appalachian Mountains. To help keep the property clean, safe, and enjoyable for future guests, please follow these house rules.

Basic House Rules
-No smoking or vaping indoors (including cigars). Any evidence of smoking inside will result in a $500 fee.

-No pets. Due to owner allergies, we cannot accommodate pets. Bringing a pet will result in a $500 fee.

-Indoor fireplace safety: Use firewood only. Never leave a fire unattended, and do not go to sleep with the fire burning strongly—always make sure it is safely reduced or out.

-Outdoor fire pit: Keep fires at a reasonable size—no large bonfires (fire hazard).

-High winds / burn notices: Do not use the outdoor fire pit during high winds or when burn bans are in effect. If there are any local fire warnings, we will notify you.

Check-Out Rules

-Place all used linens and towels in the provided laundry bags.

-Remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer.

-Load all dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it using the provided dish pods.

-Return all pots and pans to their original locations.

-Place all trash in the trash cans before checking out.

Health & Safety
-A first aid kit is located in the downstairs bathroom and the main-floor bathroom.

-Always use the handrails when going up and down the stairs.

-Extra blankets are in the closets and dressers in each room. If used, please place them in the laundry bags at check-out.
