So a bit of mixed feelings about writing this review. While there’s nothing detrimentally negative, there are areas of improvement that could/should be addressed.
With that said, let’s talk about what makes this property great first. Location, this is an excellent location, it’s located about 1/2 hour north of Waikiki and away from the city and it’s traffic. While still away from the city, there are plenty of stores and restaurants within a 5-10 drive and the nearest beach is about the same amount. The property has another tenant in the back aside from the host, but the privacy is excellent and you’ll never see them unless you seek them out. Our host, Carol was very sweet and attentive. She provided us with a quick rundown of the location and made herself available if there were any concerns.
So now the feedback. Although the location is awesome, the property is in need of some TLC (tender loving care). The decor is adequate for the island feel, but the pillows could be replaced. Most of them were flat to lay on and seemed soiled past the point of use (normal wear and tear). Although we’re not there to stay indoors, the internet was slow to the point of being obsolete (not a deal breaker by any means, but internet certainly helps when you have little ones to entertain with Netflix and other apps). There are maintenance items that should be addressed making this home an even better experience for everyone. It would be a small investment for a great ROI.
All in all this property is in a great location with great hosts. Despite the items above, this property was nice to be in. I do recommend this place and would more than likely book this property in the future provided they address certain items.
A big thank you to Carol and her family for being a gracious and attentive host!
