The cottage is located in a great location to access local beaches & to explore local towns. It has a good layout and is clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. The host does a great job of communicating all pertinent information needed for your stay.

Amazing location in a peaceful neighborhood just steps from postcard-perfect, soft sand beaches. The tastefully appointed cottage has everything you could imagine needing right at hand, without being at all cluttered. It includes cookware, a decent sized fridge, comfy bed, effective AC, and overhead fans. The small private garden is great for morning yoga under the plumeria tree and a glass of wine in the evening. Kate genuinely cares about guests' comfort - there were even a few surprise treats waiting for us.

Fantastic stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was clean, quiet and located in a safe area. The beach was less than a 5 minute walk away which allowed us to watch the sunrise each day. Thank you Kate for being a great host.

Wonderful Cottage

Very well-appointed cottage, everything was wonderful. Kate is very easy to communicate with, and the location was perfect. Short walk to the most beautiful beach. Chairs and cooler made our day perfect. Very close to town, just a short drive. Highly recommend.

Perfect Vacation Cottage

It was the perfect quaint cottage for my husband and me in the perfect quiet location that was a quick 5 minute walk to Lanikai Beach and easy access to everything all over the island. It was a half mile walk to the pillbox hike. We will stay there again.

Relaxing Stay

Beautiful spot in small village. Quiet cottage with pleasant vibe and all amenities we needed. Very private. 5minute walk to gorgeous beach, short drive to dinner and stores, easy access to hikes and island sites. Would return again and again!

Fantastic Vacation

Great place to stay that is away from busy Waikiki and Honolulu. Location is a 4 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. Kate is a phenomenal host. The cottage is well equipped with a comfy bed and spacious bathroom. Friendly suggestion, try Bob’s Pizza in town and travel a bit for Matsumoto Shaved Ice.

Perfect stay!

Amazing location (<5 min walk to the beach, 5 min drive into Kailua - cutest little town!!), perfectly clean cottage with everything you could need, including beach chairs and snorkel gear. Although the cottage is on Kate and Dan's property, it was incredibly private with our own private yard/patio. Bed was incredibly comfortable. I'm a picky gal when it comes to hotels/VRBOs and we honestly couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Cozy, Comfy Cottage

We spent six nights at the Lanikai Plumeria Beach Cottage. Yes, there really are Plumerias outside the window! Our stay was wonderful. Katie is an excellent host. Her communications are attentive, clear and helpful. The cottage is well-designed, equipped and furnished. It's very comfortable, compact and the photos accurately represent what you are renting. Perfect for one or two people. We will definitely stay again when our travels take us to Oahu!

Perfect for us!

The cottage is well laid out, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood just a short walking distance from Lanikai beach. It was very well equipped with everything we might need in the cottage and at the beach. Kate was excellent communicating us. We could not have had a better experience.

we loved our stay in Lanikai! the location is just perfect, the Cottage was beyond beautiful and cozy, we had absolutely no problem finding it when we arrived and our host Kate was just the sweeties host we could ever asked for. she kept in touch with us at every step of the way so we knew we were in good hands! she immediately greeted us upon arrival and explained everything that was to know about the Cottage and the neighborhood as well! definitely will book here again!

Paradise Found

Perfect accommodations for a relaxing getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cottage and the private little yard with it's lush vegetation. We walked to the beach and to Lanikai Pillbox for a daily hike. The area is gorgeous with everything we needed. We went kayaking which was a highlight and easily organized. There were restaurants within a short drive and we found several outdoor markets while we were there. The beaches were spectacular. Kate was amazing and the cottage is beautifully appointed. I hope to return and I would absolutely recommend this cottage.

Perfect Proximity

The Lanikai cottage was perfect for our purposes, especially with its easy proximity to such a beautiful beach in such a lovely local neighborhood! We felt very welcome and at home, and even though the cottage is on the homeowner's property, we had privacy and a feeling of belonging. We loved being able to sit outside in the little garden area, especially to eat our breakfast in the mornings, and it was really wonderful being able to walk a block to the beach and not have to worry about parking. The cotttage is very well appointed, and Kate made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely go back!

Perfect getaway for couples!!!!!

We LOVED this cottage. My wife and I came here to celebrate our 10th year anniversary and this was the perfect place to stay. Kate paid special attention to detail and we noticed. The pillbox hike is within walking distance and the sunrise is spectacular. The cottage has all the beach accessories needed and is just a short walk to the beautiful beach. There are no places to eat or convenience stores in the subdivision but Kailua is only a 2 minute drive over the bridge. We kept Kate's number and will definitely contact when we come back to Oahu.

Relaxing week at Lanikai Beach

As an active senior couple, we wanted a place close to the sand and with plenty of places to walk. We found it - at Lanikai Plumeria Beach Cottage! The cottage is so close to Lanikai beach, we would grab a spot in the shade to relax and read, and be able to go back and forth to the cottage for snacks and supplies. We walked the loop of homes in Lanikai many times and also nearby Kailua beach. In the morning we woke to beautiful bird songs and had coffee in the courtyard. The stars were beautiful at night and the neighborhood is very quiet. Kate and Dan are super hosts and made sure we had everything we needed! We found great restaurants nearby, including Buzz's steak house - it is about a 20 minute walk from the cottage! We relaxed, swam, walked and enjoyed every minute :)

Honeymooners

We stayed here for our Honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for a better hostess or place to stay. Super clean and everything was decorated so cute inside. Kate has literally thought of everything you'll need. Hands down the best part of the island to stay on if you want a relaxing retreat without chaos. It's a very short walk to the beach which was somewhat secluded an serene. Make sure you eat at Buzz's nearby (our favorite place to eat). We were there for close to a week and packed it in! We were able to go all over the island and explore in that amount of time. We would definitely stay there again! I'm not kidding when I say it's the perfect spot to stay! Many wonderful memories made!

Lived up to the reviews!

I rarely (if ever) write reviews however my wife and I attended a wedding recently and we stayed at this wonderful cottage for 5 nights. As other reviews had mentioned the distance to the beach is a five-minute walk through this very quiet neighborhood. The cottage is perfect for two people and very well thought out. My wife had actually commented that she would like the floorplans. We could not find anything lacking here in amenities. The building materials are high end and we found that the a/c unit was quiet which was important to me as I am a light sleeper. Honestly, we typically visit other islands when visiting Hawaii since I've always thought of Honolulu as very busy, now that we have discovered the other side of Oahu which is quite beautiful as is Lanikai Beach I'm certain we will return someday.

Paradise!

There are not enough positive things to say about this cottage. The location is unbeatable, the place itself is magical with a cute garden and perfect amenities and hosts. The parking spot is crucial too! We could not have asked for a better vacation! It was a perfect place in paradise.
