There was a drain spout blocked with leaves that was causing water to drain incorrectly. All fixed now. Thank you Walter for letting us know.

Thank you for your review. We had to wait until the busy Sumer season was over to renovate our most popular Lodge. We have repainted, re carpeted, and furnished with all new Adirondack decor. We upgraded the kitchen with new dishes and glasses as well:) Thank you for giving us your feedback. We care about our guest experience and want everyone to have the best time when they stay with us! Here's to another 10 years of being one of the most popular stays in Lake Placid.

Thank you very much for your critique Nicole. A new living room couch is already on its way. The last guests had some little jumpers and well.. it didn't hold up. The Lodge is very popular and is booked back to back during the Summer months. We want it always to be perfect, so thank you again for the information. As part of our welcome, we supply a lot of basics to all of our guests, but advise when staying more than a weekend to please bring more of "your own, "as some families like certain products and or have allergies etc. But we do supply at least enough for two days worth so you can get to the store. These supplies are dishwasher tabs. kitchen sponges, liquid hand soap for all of the bathrooms, washer-machine tabs, dryer sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products, Kleenex boxes, liquid dishwashing soap, basic kitchen spices, salt and pepper, trash bags and hot tub towels. I am unsure why the sponge and dishwashing tabs were missed? or maybe the amount we supplied didn't last for the entire week? We were not informed of anything bad or not up to par during the stay, Either way, that would have been an easy fix, please just text us. Sorry about that. As we describe in our listing, The Private Beach is a shared Beach on Mirror Lake which is the main lake in Lake Placid. We share the Beach with a few other houses. The full time owners, are deeded two hours to have alone time use of our Beach. This allows the full time residents alone time with their family, kids and dogs. It is deeded for "owners only" to use 2 hours out of 24. I feel like if you were a full time resident you would also want that ability. I am sorry that was missed. We also post it in the house as a reminder. There is also a very large public beach just a 5 minute walk down the lake. Again, we thank you for your input. It is a busy season in Lake Placid. We would again ask that when things aren't right to please call and let us try to improve and or fix it while we can. It hurts all owners to wait until after departure with things that are not satisfactory, and then give us a low rating. Know that we will improve. Best to you and your family.

Due to Covid it has been very difficult to get cleaners to feel comfortable cleaning up from other people. We are doing the best we can. If they would have told us as soon as they found it, we could have done something about it. After the stay and to post it, well, not much we can do now, except to offer a discount to them which we did. We are in the process of hiring two new cleaners. Re supplies, we provide toilet paper, paper products, liquid soap, laundry detergent, and dish detergent for a 1-2 night stay with every rental.
