Important to know that the main bedroom has big beautiful windows but no shades so light came in by 5a.m.It was unfortunate that the jacuzzi tub was broken.Also, the downstairs was quite cold and took many hours to warm up after the temp was turned up.A beautiful house, clean, well stocked kitchen and great view of the lake.

The in floor heating can take some time to kick in. I do hope you found the space heaters in the bedroom to tide you over 😊

Welcome to Bark Bay Lodge!
We are happy to host you and your guests in our home. The home was built in 2001/2002 and we bought it in the spring of 2023. It was in need of some major repair and restoration and we’ve spent the better part of the past three years lovingly restoring the lodge to its former glory. Crafted with logs from the Aleutian Islands and having over 60,000 lbs. of river rock in the fireplaces, this one-of-a-kind home is a unique mix of rustic charm, Scandinavian architecture, and modern convenience.

Please reach out with any questions as you're planning your trip to the Apostle Islands and the south shores of Lake Superior. We extend our warm welcome to you for your stay at Bark Bay Lodge and we hope your time here is filled with warm memories and lasting peace.
