This inviting and well-maintained vacation home in the beautiful Flemish countryside Westhoek is wonderfully furnished and perfect for a varied vacation with the whole family. The fantastically furnished vacation home is situated in a quiet location in the meadows between the towns of Poperinge and Veurne, near the French border. Feel free to take your dog with you on vacation. The large garden is completely surrounded by a high fence and offers a great view of the countryside. The garden is also equipped with a cozy picnic table, sun loungers, barbecue, trampoline, soccer goal and badminton rackets. This completely renovated cottage was a cafe in the past, today still recognizable by the beautiful bar in the large dining room. In the cottage there is also a cozy living room with a smart TV. The country kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher, oven, microwave, deep fryer, toaster and hand blender. A small staircase leads to the toilet and a cozy bedroom with bunk beds. On the second floor are the other 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet.



Westhoek is a beautiful unspoiled region that is great to visit from this vacation home. Take a walk or a bike ride along the banks of the Yser River and be amazed by the stunning scenery. The vacation home is located near Poperinge, a pleasant town with nice stores, restaurants and leisure facilities. Entertaining excursions for the whole family are offered by De Zonnegloed Animal Park 8 km, the open-air museum Bachten de Kupe 10 km, a guided tour and beer tasting at the St. Bernardus Brewery 11 km, the Belvedère Tower in the picturesque village of Kemmel 23 km, Plopsaland De Panne 24 km, and the Bellewaerde amusement and water park 25 km. A visit to the historic towns of Veurne 22 km and Diksmuide 24 km is also interesting. The fabulous city of Ypres impresses with sights such as the Gewandhaus, the Menenpoort, the fish market and the In Flanders Fields Museum. From this vacation home you can also spend a day at the beach, for example in De Panne or Koksijde. It is also worth visiting the small French towns of Bergues 18 km and Saint-Omer 43 km.

Objekt ist OK, wäre toll wenn man in der Anzeige vermerkt das bei der Bettwäsche die man mit bringen soll, es im Doppelbett sich immer um eine große Matratze handelt (2 x 2 m)

Ruim voor 6 personen. De een persoonskamer alleen bereikbaar via grote slaapkamer. 2 mooie badkamers. De kamer beneden (klein trapje) daar staat een stapelbed, maar stevig genoeg voor 2 volwassenen. Diepvries en grote frigo is top. Grote tuin. Leuke wandelingen gedaan. We komen nog terug. Parking voor 4 wagens 😉

Nadeel was dat er maar twee ligbedden in de tuin waren, en de andere stoeltjes zaten niet echt comfortabel als je in de tuin wilde relaxen. Wel was er een grote picknicktafel, prima om aan te eten.Het huisje staat in poldergebied, dus in omgeving zelf is weinig. Maar met de auto of fiets zijn leuke plaatsen te bezoeken zoals Ieper, Veurne, de Panne, Koksijde.

Lovely property but not suitable for people with mobility problems.

First of all the instructions for finding the property could be clearer. They only show the address as no 10. This one is 10A. We had to ask at neighbouring properties before finding the correct house as we got no answer from either telephone number when we called. There is a milk churn outside the correct house with 10A on it but we weren’t told it was 10A. The house is lovely, comfortable and well equipped with ample room for a family. It has a safe enclosed back garden for children to play in . However the staircase makes the property unsuitable for very small children and those with mobility problems. It is very steep with narrow treads and there are no ground floor bedrooms. Both toilets are separate from the shower rooms which is great but one of the toilets is on the mezzanine floor and the 4 stairs to it are winding and the treads very narrow which does make access difficult if you have mobility issues. We were advised to take bed linen and towels but they were provided for all the beds including a cot. If you wanted to cook, there were plenty of pots and pans, a microwave, a toaster and kettle as well as a coffee maker. There is a decent sized fridge in the kitchen and a freezer in the basement. There is a large barbecue which is great when the weather is good. The tv is very modern, wall mounted and had BBC channels. The property is in a very rural setting but close to Poperinge and Ypres which makes it ideal for touring WW1 cemeteries restaurants etc.

Mooi en proper huis in heel rustige buurt.

De mooie woning die op alles voorzien is staat in een rustige omgeving. Je kan er gemakkelijk parkeren met 3 auto's. De afstand tot Ieper, Veurne is heel goed te doen met de wagen. In omgeving zelf weinig te beleven als het op actie aankomt maar wel heel mooi om te wandelen. Wij hadden er een top-weekend met al oude Chirovriendinnen.
