Not an idyllic paradise with absolute privacy as stated
We recently made a last-minute trip to Sardinia during the national Italian holiday month of August. Due to limited properties available on the island we booked this property based on the same very attractive pictures that do appear across most action rental platforms on the web.. This property is managed by Bookiply, a Premier Host Status.
While via VRBO there are no reviews we felt the online presence of Bookiply would ensure standards were met.
ALSO NOTE: THERE ARE ZERO REVIEWS ON VRBO over a ten year period which is very unusual for any web platform.

The entrance to the rented area is via a stone staircase. The hand railing and steps are completely covered in bird excrement. The birds walk freely over all the surfaces, patios, furniture, and, outside kitchen area. The listing states a few birds. We counted over twenty. The host hopes his guests can co-exist with the birds which are all on the upstairs patio or in the tree leading to the apartment at dusk.
Nowhere are you informed that ALL these enormous birds are going to be sharing the entire outdoor living space while using it as their personal toilet area! For sanitary reasons alone it is not an area that can be used. The grounds themselves are covered by large areas of Astro Turf that is also covered in bird excrement, and unfit to walk in bare feet or use one’s outside shoes to enter the living space.
No toilet paper was provided. The soap dispenser was empty. The kitchen flatware was dumped into a draw and was not all clean, as where the pots and pans left piled in the corner. There was no hair dryer as listed. There was no sign of an iron & board. The kettle in the apartment was half full of water. There was no First Aid kit as listed. There was a tiny trash can in the bathroom with no liner. Outside the apartment was a large one, it too had no bin liner. The apartment is outside the range of the compound’s WIFI. The air conditioning unit had a broken deflector, and the cooled air was pointed at the floor. The unit is not powerful enough to cool the single room. No additional fan was provided. The properties trash was in piles to the right of the exit gate and was quite ripe.
After long discussions with Bookiply who are the only people, you can negotiate with we were refunded only three nights. TRUST ME, there is more, VRBO only allows so 2,500 letters!!
