The home has been beautifully renovated and in a very quiet neighborhood. The hosts responded to and resolved one issue very quickly. While the home is pet friendly, the yard is not fenced so we had to keep our dog on a leash anytime we went outside. Overall, great house and wonderful hosts. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful experience in a beautiful, fully restored farmhouse in a quiet and charming neighborhood, with easy access to the quaint town of Johnstown. Surrounded by miles of rolling farmland and country roads, the house is adorable, immaculate, and comfortable, with no detail overlooked. Honestly, it looks like it came straight out of an issue of Martha Stewart Living. The kitchen is large and fully appointed with anything you could possibly need, and it was a delight to cook healthful meals there. There are two very nice markets not far away, and a few miles further major grocery stores, a Sprouts Farmers Market, and Walmart. It was so lovely to be out and about and then return to such a tranquil setting and lovely home. Every aspect of the house felt thoughtfully considered, making it a truly special and relaxing place to stay. Hosts were wonderful and quick to respond to our questions. Highly recommended!

Katrina and Jarrod are the proud hosts of this charming 1914 home—a place filled with deep roots, rich history, and heartfelt memories. For Jarrod, this house is especially meaningful: it’s where he grew up, surrounded by laughter, love, and countless moments shared with his beloved Hess grandparents, who originally owned the home.

The Hess grandparents left a lasting legacy in the community. Randall Hess, Jarrod’s grandfather, dedicated over four decades to teaching and coaching at Roosevelt School. His commitment to education, kindness, and service is woven into the very spirit of this home, and it is a legacy Katrina and Jarrod are honored to carry forward.

When the opportunity came to restore and revive this special place, Katrina and Jarrod knew it was truly something special. They love bringing old homes back to life and sharing their character and charm with others. Every detail of this house has been thoughtfully cared for, with the hope that guests will feel both warmly welcomed and connected to its story.

They invite you to relax, enjoy, and create your own memories here—and hope you’ll come to cherish this home as much as they do.
