CONS:
Upon arriving, we were greeted immediately, but by bees. They were living behind the wood siding, going in and out from a missing piece of siding/trim next to front door. I called owner and he came by to spray them. He told me to do it at night again. We did that, but the next day our unwanted guests were still there. I called the owner again, but no response to my voicemail, so my husband stuffed a rag into the area of missing siding. That worked, bees could not get behind the siding. None of the outside lights worked, so it was very dark when we came back to the house at night. We had to use cell phone light to key in the front code. The basement was humid and smelled damp. I suspect mold, because I am allergic to it and I was getting symptomatic. One of the kitchen pendant lights was missing and as previously noted, the microwave pad was damaged. We used the spa test strips to test the hot tub and there was no chlorine in it. The only chlorine available was for pools and the directions did not include spas, so we did not use it. I have a hot tub at home and I only use approved chemicals for spas, not pools. The directions in the house introduction book said hot tub is checked regularly and not to adjust chemicals. Hot tubs need chlorine added after every use. Kitchen pots were beat up and we purchased dishwasher soap as there was none. Outside grill was dirty and it did not work properly.
PROS: Beds were comfy. Good location with plenty of parking and big back yard. The good size kitchen was stocked with most essentials like coffee makers, utensils, dishes etc. Plenty of linens and towels. Plenty of room for 4 adults.
AREA Tips: We were able to stop by many farm stands and get local fresh produce. The ice cream shop in Spencerport was excellent.
